Heterobranchus longifilis
I got kind of an offbase question. What catfish could really resemble a Heterobranchus longifilis in a juvenile stage. Say from filgerlings to 14". That would not be even in the catfish family Clariidae. Thanks

Preventive Treatment While In Quarantine
Can some of you experts here outline a method aimed at eliminating several of the pathogens that may be present on a newly acquired catfish fish, before symptoms occur?? The idea is to have a procedure to help to further reduce the risk of future problems, and to be completely effective and avoid re ...

Hi Braveheart, Pls be wise. I'm afraid you know the outcome of "I'll see how it goes (quote)" as well as I do. It's like putting 3 fighting dogs in a cage and think that they might like eachother.....Don't gamble with such extraordinary fish. It's going to be a waste, not only for the fish, but for ...

I should be ok I dont want to lose the batrachus by anymeans. Its very rare and expensive as we all know ...

Re: Doubts on Asterophysus batrachus
[quote="Marc van Arc"]While reading the CotM on Asterophysus, it struck me that it seems almost impossible for a 24 cm fish to eat a 40 cm long (thus also having a certain height)Crenicichla. Especially because the victim is a particular strong fish, which will put up a hell a fight to free itself ...
