When to release L183 fry back to main tank?
My L183s unexpectedly spawned but kicked the eggs out of the cave, so I’ve raised them in a floating breeding ring. They’re coming up 4 weeks old and about 1cm in length, eating spirulina and tabs once they’ve softened up. How big will they need to be to fend for themselves in the main tank? (80x ...

Re: Tips for feeding wild-caught Sultan L264 and H. contradens plecos
Another vote for Repashy (specifically Bottom Scratcher). My mini-colony of Sultans and L400s devour it, assuming they can get to it before it’s covered in a cloud of shrimp. The downside is the frankly appalling stench while making it. There’s very little that makes me gag, but I have to make sure t ...

Ideas for setup & stocking of a 300l / 80g, anyone?
hey all - I'm in search of some ideas here :-b I've just picked up a secondhand 300l 150x50x40 (I'm in Germany, but that's 80g, 60x20x16" for the analogue folks :d ) and I've decided it's time for a catfish-centric tank. I've cleaned it up, and at the moment it's got a very thin gravel substrate, is ...

I tried Repashy food, and now I think I might be getting divorced
I’ve read a lot of great reviews about Repashy food, so I figured I’d give Bottom Scratcher a try. The fish love it - it’s like someone dropped crack cocaine into the tank. But OMG, the SMELL :YMSICK: :YMSICK: :YMSICK: . Even a dead rat that got trapped behind a pipe in the cellar doesn’t come close. ...
