I had my 3rd L280 spawn today (July 23rd) from the 3rd pair. Pretty chuffed about it

Try using some IAL and a thin layer of sand in the fry box. I also don't feed my L134 fry for 2 days after the yolk sack is absorbed. Thereafter, I feed the Hikari First bites only for the first week.

Hi Ron,

Try adding a fine layer of sand in the fry saver, a piece of driftwood and a few IAL. I add small piece of driftwood in the egg tumbler too and hv noticed wigglers with egg sacks gracing on the driftwood.

My fry survival rate is very high now. Good luck.

A Pleco keeper in Japan who breeds L280s, keep them at 29C and TDS of 100 ppm

WC L280 (Micracanthicus Vandragti - from Rio Orinoco) import being acclimated. They are absolutely stunning fish and came in real healthy. Surpassed all my expectations.

Someone I know in Japan (Katsu Ohkubo) has had a few successful spawns from his WC L280 group. His breeding adults are 4 cm.

What is the ideal temperature for L280?

The stock that Shrimp Fever (in Canada) was selling were TR and came from the Far East. This confirms that they are being bred in Asia albeit in smaller quantities.

Shrimp Fever in Canada had many TR L280 not so long ago. They came in from Asia.

Another reputed importer in Canada will be getting WC L280 in a couple of weeks. Quite pricey at $150 each though.
