I let the water run for about 5 minutes then I put it in a clear jar with dechlorinated by the window as suggested. I'm going to wait a few days to add it to the tank.

Well I did what Hitch suggested and used bleach at a rate of 20:1, but now I'm worried it might kill my fish
I placed the moss ball in a plastic container under running water to make sure I rinse all the bleach off but would it be enough? How can I make sure?

So I went back there. The guy told me the 3 fish in that tank are not for sale because they are "babies". They will be ready for sale in 3 weeks. I've been giving him everything I give all my fish. Processed food (flakes, pellets), live bloodworms, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, spirulina, algae wafers, and veggies and fruits (cucumber, yellow squash, butternut squash, oranges, apples, etc)

I got this guy a while ago, it was being sold as a "rubbernose pl*co". i'd never thought about id'ing it here and all of a sudden it hit me. So I checked out the catalog and found it more similar to L187b.

ok, for some reason i felt relieved that i only have 2 tanks (fish and turtle)..

When you say they wont/shouldnt eat citrus fruits, are you talking about ancistrus only? my L021 favorite food ever is orange!!
