Re: Algae wafers are made of starch?
Cucumbers and especially zucchini are very good foods for many Plecos. However most of my fish tend to eat the skin first so I would not recommend pealing it off. More importantly I would never put lead in a fish tank if I wanted my fish to live, lead is a highly toxic metal that will poison a tank ...

I'm not an expert but $35 a piece for a breeding group sounds reasonable to me.

Eric,
Very cool video! I am wondering are you raising all of the fry from your spawns, and if so how much tank space is it going to take to get them to a sellable size?
Thanks Andy

Re: Discussion: Plecos and Fruits?
Just the other day I placed some watermelon rind in for my Clown and Bristlenose Plecos. They loved it nothing left but the skin when I went in to clean it up the next day.

Re: How to distribute tank weight over floor tiles?
Easiest way to go would be to have some pt plywood cut to the size of the tanks and place the stands on it. If your looking for something that would look a bit better you could get some plates welded to the bottom of the stand legs and then set those on some rubber. Either way should spread the ...

Re: 180 gallon in wall tank
Thanks Deb. Definitely like the mustard spots and flash Plecos might get a couple clown Plecos as well. I would love to find some of those l397 you have they are very attractive fish, but I never even heard of them before this week. Would also like to get one larger panaque, maybe one of the Royal ...

Re: 180 gallon in wall tank
Thanks. The split open logs are silver maple the hollow ones on the bottom are Apple and the root ball is from an evergreen bush I ripped out.
Currently I have an albino common pleco, two rubbernose, and a mustard spot in there. Also I have a flash pleco and blue panaque in my quarantine tank ...

180 gallon in wall tank

Hi everyone. I've been working on this tank for about 8 months now and finally have it heading in the right direction. It is a 180 gallon set into the wall of my living room and actually housed in a separate room I built in the garage.

Thanks for all the info. Going to pass on the copper and will take a look around for some bamboo, which I hadn't even considered as an option.

Copper pipe caves.
Has anyone here used copper pipe as caves, and if not is there any reason why I should not do so? Looking to create smaller sized caves for BNs but would like something that blends in better with the driftwood than pvc or square stone caves. Thanks for any info.

Best place to look for l numbers online?
I've been using this site for info for a long time but first time poster. Currently setting up a 180 in the wall of my house and would like to stock it with some colorful Plecos. My problem is that the lfs in my area usually only has common and bristle nose plecos. So I'm wondering where would be a ...
