I believe they are now obsolete. The pro 2 models have replaced them. If you can get a second hand 1 check it has been looked after as servicing is expensive and heating elements don't like hard water.

Hi .Ii have not thought about this before but yes plecs could over time damage the surface of the acrylic, thus causing misting. Although this would not cause failure of the tank , I do beleive more frequent mop polishing on the inside of the tank would be required. On a more important note. The lge ...

The waterlife treatment is sterazin. This treatment is dosed for 10 days so it may not be suitable. Try something stronger from the vets, Levanisol works well.

No I wouldnt recconmend it, you will only make them worse. We usually only use metrodozinale on Discus, were yes the temps are higher so cant say how it works at lower temps. Do the corys seem any better today. Try and ask your lfs if they can keep fish back for you in future, it will prevent this ...

We have kept ottos in tanks with discus and they age very rapidly resulting in untimely deaths. Although the Sturisoma are nice and will be fine in these temps they tend to attack the discus and cause there deaths instead. Slowly acclimatize some clown pleco and try them instead or some Royal Pleco's.

Most of our tanks went up to 86+. We just increased the aeration and kept a close check of the water quality. If we get high temps again a frozen bottle of water, floating on the tank can help things keep cool. But be careful you dont want to chill them too much.
