Re: Combining Syno species
I would imagine the pH requirements would be different, as petricola are from Lake Tanganyika and nigriventris are from West Africa

Re: Disappearing Microsynodontis
In my experience with my microsynodontis they do hide a lot. I did see them more often when I put a lot of leaves in the tank. It might be that they feel more comfortable venturing out with more hiding spots, although it sounds like you provide them with a lot of cover.

Re: rain water
I live in the suburbs and use rainwater in my tanks. I don't treat it, and haven't noticed any negative effects from that. I don't use only rainwater in any tanks, though.

chiloglanis with ich
I got five chiloglanis last weekend (not sure what species). Dosed some prazi pro three days ago, they were looking great, but now they've got ich. It's not a very severe case (yet), I just woke up and they seemingly got it overnight, because I didn't see it last night. Any ideas on how to treat? I ...

I'm not sure, it would be nice to have a more specific biotope, but I don't really know about the feeder rivers.

Rio Tocantins biotope
I'm looking to move my Panaqolus L002 into a 40 breeder and want to make it a Rio Tocantins biotope. I plan to also have a pair or small group of Biotodoma cupido. I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures or videos of the Rio Tocantins so I can be as true to the biotope as possible. Thanks!

These are my dad's fish. He has four of these, and we're not sure what kind of aspidoras they are. Any ideas?

I just mixed up the Morning Wood for my panaqolus for the first time and am excited to see how they'll take to it. I've heard a lot of good things.

Re: South American Catfishes for a 20 long.
The perugiae are really adorable fish! Like most woodcats, they're nocturnal and tend to hide a lot. I don't think they're very picky, people usually feed them frozen food like bloodworms. There's a good article on shane's world about them

Feeding wood eating plecos
I have a reverse trio of L002 plecos in a 29G. The only problem is I can't get them to eat anything besides wood and algae pellets. I've tried blanched cucumbers and zucchini, but they haven't eaten it. I would really like them to eat some fresh veggies so they can be more healthy, and hopefully ...

Where did you guys find microsynodontis sp. 1? I really want to get some for my W African tank, but I haven't been able to find any. The only microsynodontis I've seen available was the batesii, which isn't really my favorite

cooking takes a lot of the nutrients out of the shrimp, so I would do raw. Idk if you need to peel or not

Madtoms
Any ideas for a smaller species of madtom to go in a 20 long with my four black banded sunfish and possibly some mountain redbelly dace? In the summer, the dace and sunfish would go in my dad's pond and I would like to try to breed the madtoms, if that's possible. It's a black water tank with pretty ...

Hello from VA!
I'm new to this forum, but I've been using PC articles for a while now. I have a 29g SA tank with a pair of apisto cacatuoides, a group of neon tetras and a group of c. pygmaeus. My other tank is a 55g West African community. So far it's only got a pair of Nanochromis parilus, but I'm adding 6 ...
