Re: Nattereri perhaps? Possibly ill:(
Just a guess, but I'd say it's a deformed Corydoras paleatus. Probably not feeling well for one reason or another based on it's faded coloration. Pregnant or not (I think not), it looks deformed (either born with deformity or developed it), and it might be bloated (not full pineconing/dropsy so far ...

Re: Please help to ID my Corydoras
I appreciate the replies Eric!
Ian Fuller (coryman, the Corydoras expert) still active here? I know he really know distinguishing traits between the two (or three!)

Re: CORYDORAS EXPERTS! Will these Hybridize? Dwarf Corydora x Dwarf Cory, or x Aspidoras
Thanks for the info everyone! I've never heard of Aspidoras pauciradiatus being reconsidered of being of the Corydoras genus. I thought A. pauciradiatus does indeed have 6 rays in their dorsal fin? Not enough to categorize them as the Aspidoras genus? Have any references that discuss the possible ...

Re: Any other ALBINO CORYDORAS seen or produced?
Thanks Paul and Aad Mechielsen for sharing those pics! The dorsal spine on the 'yellow' female looks pretty tall. Is there a known cause for 'yellow' albinos? I myself have had a few yellow albino C. aeneus, stayed that way a good few months, but eventually turned into the normal white albino ...

Re: Some video's of my corydoras and aspidoras.
What Aspidoras species were in the second video? They always "aggressive" eaters like that? I have A. pauciradiatus (saw one in the background in the vid) and they are very gentle eaters as the rest of my corys. Have you had any breeding experience with those other Aspidoras? My A. pauciradiatus ...

Re: Please help to ID my Corydoras
What the key difference in head shape between C. delphax and C. agassizii? Are the black dots on the flanks any indicator between the two? I don't own Ian Fuller's Cory ID books, nor have a membership to his website to find out yet. By the way, are the pictures verified in PlanetCatfish's "Cat-e-log ...

Green Corydoras ID
Can anyone ID these green Corydoras Pics in link http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/21-fish/1018641-cory-breeding-albino-x-emerald.html Do you think they are young Corydoras aeneus - bronze/wild? I personally believe they are Corydoras venezuelanus. If not those, what do you think? Just wanted to get ...

Re: Any other ALBINO CORYDORAS seen or produced?
Ahh yeah, I forgot that I have seen albino C. paleatus. Thanks for the response! Haven't seen that albino panda before. Some of the other panda's in the link have black eyes, but no black body markings though. What's the proper term for that? I guess just Leucistic according to the definitions here ...

CORYDORAS EXPERTS! Will these Hybridize? Dwarf Corydora x Dwarf Cory, or x Aspidoras
Is there any chance Aspidoras would crossbreed with Corydoras? Was thinking of keeping A. pauciradiatus with dwarf Corydoras species (C. pygmaeus, and/or C. hastatus, and/or C. habrosus). What about any other Aspidoras species possibly crossbreeding with Corydoras for that matter (haven't fully ...

Any other ALBINO CORYDORAS seen or produced?
Only albinos I've seen are Corydoras aeneus and albino Corydoras sterbai. I don't expect to see any other albino Cory species for wholesale, but was just curious if anyone had a rare albino offspring. If so, a picture would be a treat to see! Make sure to mention what species it is. I know they will ...

Re: Very bummed. New bacterial infection going to wipe out my C. loretoensis
But you said "Soft tissue in the fins is white and eroding and the female's nose looks half rotted away." I've never heard of Corydoras toxins causing any damage like that? And I would think the cases in small shipping bags would have higher concentrations/worse damage than in a tank with a larger ...

Re: Very bummed. New bacterial infection going to wipe out my C. loretoensis
Sorry to hear of the troubles. Yeah, those are funny looking little guys, with their innocent look despite their long dorsal spine. To me, it does sound like a bacterial infection, but I would need more noted symptoms to better ID what type of bacteria. And in turn, suggest the proper med to treat ...

Re: Blue corydoras weitzmani
Oh yeah, the line bred black C. schultzei slipped my mind (even though I see mine everyday -.-). Can't think of any other line bred Corys though. Have seen pics of dyed C. Aeneus (albinos). Makes sense why they aren't commonly line bred for new cosmetic traits and why it would be unlikely to ...

Re: Blue corydoras weitzmani
Not quite sure what you mean. C. weitzmani are found in South America (Peru), as are many other species, and they do get imported overseas. Pretty easily/commonly available/bred nowadays so I wouldn't really consider them a rarity so much. In fact, I believe Ian Fuller was actually one of the first ...

Breeding C. Hastatus and Aspidoras? Eat eggs? Hybrid?
Hi all! New to the forum, but pretty well experienced at keeping fish. I have had over a dozen different Corydoras/Aspidoras species (among other fish) happily breed on their own, so I must be doing something right :) (don't worry, I am responsible and no hybrids) Sorry for the long post, if you ...

Re: Blue corydoras weitzmani
I haven't seen that sort of blue color before in artificially colored fish before, but can't say I would rule that out indefinitely. Possibly a hybrid, maybe between C. weitzmani and C. concolor. Kind of strange though to only affect the top half and it seems only the color is a present trait of the ...

Re: Breeding Cory's
That's definitely Corydoras trilineatus since it has the lines rather than truly dotted like C. julii (there is a spotted/dotted variety of C. trilineatus that looks like C. julii, but is still distinguishable). Well usually you hear of people doing cold water changes and feeding high protein diets ...
