A sunken stomach may also be indication of parasites that may have come in with the fish. Though if the others in the tank are fine I'm not sure this would be the case, stranger things have happend though.

One thing I didn't see in the article was if females had bristles or if it was just the males. In the fish I have, there are two that have 4-5 times the amount of bristles than the other 3.
