LOL that is exactly what I got! However now it is in the 25 gallon tank, and I have mounted my penguin 1140 with a huge sponge filter in the 100 gallon.
The hoplos love the current!

I have a standard single flourescent bulb for the 25 gallon. I need some suggestions on what type of ...

Any suggestions on 3 types of cories which will work together?? Currently the gold green cats are way to energetic for the reticulated ones! Also I need to ...

He is missing one of his longer barbels tho. Just happy that he is okay. BTW he was in quarintine for about 10 days with daily 1/2 doses of ...

Surface area should just be length X width as you said Silirus. How much oxygen the tank receives, of course would be decided by how it is areated. Speaking of that should you have a air pump in ones tank if it is deep (ie 24" or greater) or will a spray bar and powerhead be sufficient for surface ...

Hardy Cories
I asked the LFS guy this same question last week and got what I believe was a pretty poor answer. Question: What kinds of cories are the hardiest?? He stated that they are all about the same. Now I am a newbie yet even I know that some cories such as Panda's are not as hardy as others. So I would ...

Hey SG 85 F = 29.44 C. I have an air pump going as well to assist the other guy. I examined him closely last night and he looks like he has pretty much lost all of his scales on his head. I picked up a couple on friday. The LFS didn't know if they were dead or alive! We could see one's gills moving... the other one showed no life! Got them home and in a matter of 3 minutes with the lights off they were buried in the sand!! WAY COOL! Also I have been watching them move around. They do ...

Thanks SG. I initially thought that the Hoplo seemed to be getting better, but now it looks like he is losing more scales. I got a product called Aquaria-Sol with the active ingrediant Zycosin. I am going to give it a shot. Is this bacterial disease contagious to the other cats?? Currently he is the ...
