Bloated Green Laser Cory
Hi everyone One of my Green Laser Corys is looking really bloated over the past few days. Do you think it is that she is full of eggs or do you think it may be something more sinister? All water parameters are normal. I have given them a meal of shelled blanched peas the night before last but there ...

Green Laser Corys
Hi everyone I have just purchased a group of wild caught green laser corys. I have been researching online as to the ideal set up for them. Does anyone have any experience of caring for them and can advise on tank decor, temp etc. I keep other types of cories but none that have been wild caught. I ...

Re: Zebra Plec - Not Growing
I didnt want to, but I think I will have to resort to using a plastic breeding box in their tank to try to target feed him. Do you think this will be OK if I vacuum it daily?

Hiya
There are in a 38 litre (10 US gallon) tank at the moment with no other tank mates, just the five of them.

Re: Zebra Plec - Not Growing
Hi there
Thanks for the response, they are slow growing and I accept that but my concern is this particular one that is growing considerably slower than the other four.

Zebra Plec - Not Growing
Hi everyone I have a group of five juvenile zebra plecs that I got back in March time. Since I got them, four of them have grown steadily but there is one that just has not grown. I know this one could just be a 'runt' but I am concerned that he just isnt getting enough food if he may be being ...

Re: Group of adult zebras - some Q's if you dont mind
Another thought guys (sorry!) - my water is very soft, should I be adding anything to keep it stable? I currently do bi-weekly water changes on all my tanks and this so far seems to have prevented any problems.

Re: Group of adult zebras - some Q's if you dont mind
Hi everyone Thank you so much for the time you have taken to give me such thoughtful replies. I really do appreciate it. TwoTankAdmin, you raise some very valid points with regards to tank mates so thanks very much for that. I had wondered about using some small tetras as dithers to help the zebras ...

Group of adult zebras - some Q's if you dont mind
I have two groups of zebra plecs, a group of 5 captive bred juveniles which I have had since March and I have just purchased a group of 5 large wild caught zebs from Pier Aquatics. I have a couple of questions if you dont mind. For the adults, are there any particular foods you guys recommend (Im ...

Re: Tank mates for zebra plecs
If I did add some tank mates such as the cardinal tetra (for example), would it be an issue if the zebs did breed? Would they eat the fry?

Tank mates for zebra plecs
Hi guys I have a chance to get some large wild caught zebra plecos from Pier Aquatics. How long do ZP live roughly? I know about the set up of the tank as I currently have a group of five captive bred juveniles in a tank on their own at present. I feed them frozen food and dried foods like Prima and ...

Queen Arabesque?
Hi guys
I hope you don't mind me posting but this forum has been recommended to me.
Can someone please tell me whether this is a Queen Arabesque or an L411 Monte Durado?
Thanks!
Kirsty
