Hilarious how going across the Atlantic makes these a "cool" fish.
Here most people disregard them.
I have kept all three species native to Wisconsin long term...wish I had pictures. Grew one out to over 14" probably. Massive fish, get a lot of girth at that size.

Coloration is almost never a good trait to use for scientific level identification.
Around here our A. nebulosus are a darker shade of brown however as well.

I would like to do genetics on these fish. It seems crazy to me that you can hybridize fish between two families (like mine).
