Yes wood is good, they eat as part of there diet if I'm correct.
Any idea what tho.

There was nothing else in there, as wife asked to reserve so he caught him.

That's brill. Just want to make sure a pleco I do get will thrive in hard water rather then just bare it.
In UK lot of common and bristlenose about.
I did find a honey combe driftwood cat fish but I was told it won't do well in my water hence why looking again.

There maybe none in UK, just trying to look at options that suit tank and the fish.
Clown seems great and if I can find something that enjoys same water and similar size here in UK I'll be happy

Thanks, there is quite a lot of small pleco out there, just have see if my local aquatic place has them,
They did have a tiny black one with bright orange lines over him, no tag so no idea what it was, but he was amazing.
