Are male habrosus Corydoras barbels shorter than female?
Was told this by a local pet shop owner who also claimed the habrosus he had were tank bred, it's my understanding all habrosus are wild caught?

Re: 12 Habrosus Corydoras barbels
Nitrites lower today but still there. Changed 2 gallons and dosed with prime and double dosed Seed for good bacteria. They don't seemed stressed but each one has different lengths of barbels. Only 2 that I've seen are they super short to gone on. Not sure if it helps but I dosed stress coat plus as ...

Re: 12 Habrosus Corydoras barbels
The nitrites I believe we're from adding the 12 at once, did a little mini cycle. I only feed them hikari disks so they don't have to dig for food to help with that. Sand just isn't an option for me right now, I'd like to add some on top later in the year though. They seem happy and like I said when ...

12 Habrosus Corydoras barbels
I have 12 Habrosus Corydoras I got this past weekend. A few of them have very short barbels. I'm wondering if given a good diet and good water quality if they will grow back? There is nothing sharp in the tank, they are kept on smooth pea gravel, which I know isn't the best choice but also not the ...

Re: 10 gallon cory question/problem
They seem to hang out under the plants 90 percent of the time. If I walk anywhere near the tank they run and hide

Re: 10 gallon cory question/problem
So I'm a bit confused, my water is perfect, I normally change water twice a week since it's a planted tank but it always tests fine when I do it. Would it be a better move to take back the pandas or roll with them? I've also read pygmy and habrosus corries are very shy and hide a lot. I kinda don't ...

10 gallon cory question/problem
I have a planted 10 gallon with Moss balls and hornwort. Spectra stone substrate. It has 3 cherry shrimp, 4 nerite snails and 7 panda corries. Now I have had them for 3 going on 4 weeks and while they aren't as shy as they were the first two weeks, they hide 90 percent of the time and if I come any ...

Also it's my understanding that these corydoras are midrange swimmers yet mine seem to be bottom dwelling could it have something to do with the filter current?

12 pygmy corydoras in 5 gallon
So I started with 7 but after reading how they need at least 10 I went back to get more and didn't want to leave just two so I got 5. The new pygmy cories though seem to be lighter colored even they are a tad bigger. They school and they eat. Just wondering why they're not as dark in color

I picked up two albino corydoras to go with my 7 pygmy cory catfish and when examining the albino corydoras closer I see they're barbels aren't very long. Kinda short for their size. How can I fix this?

albino corydoras with corydoras pygmy?
If I were to add a single albino corydoras with my 7 pygmy cory catfish would they all school?
EDIT- So I got two albino corydoras to go in this tank. Should that work? Will the pgymys be good with them or will the albino corydoras out compete them for food?

Re: please help me some questions
Thank you I'm really trying to do right by the fish. Now what would I want to look for if I got albino corydoras to see if they are not happy and thriving? And the same goes for pandas? Since you said they both would require a different minimum number

Re: please help me some questions
Hi, thanks supercorygirl. I appreciate all the responses I got, I have however since upgraded to a 5 gallon. Wondering if that would make it eaiser to keep say 3 panda corydoras or albino corydoras? Or is 3 to small or would they get to big?
