I'd say they are Pulcher's. I have 6 of them and they look identical to your pics

Re: Where to find Wild Corydoras Paleatus?
Have you checked Uncle Neds in Millis Ma by any chance? Ask him if he can get them. If he cant. I bet he could send you in the right direction.

Re: The Ideal cory fish room
I'd do a mini house (bigger than a shed but smaller than my house) with 400-20Glong tanks, species only, individual sponge filters with several air pumps housed in separate outside compartments (no noise), all tanks as natural as the origin site of fish for décor, heat each tank as necessary with ...

The Ideal cory fish room
Just out of curiosity, I'd like to hear for everyone what would you do if you could build the ideal cory fish room. How many tanks would you have? Multiple species per tank or species only tanks? What size tanks? Central filtration or individual sponge filters? Central air pump? Bare tanks or ...

Re: Colonizing black worms
Hi All, Thanks for the replies. All good information and good reading as well. One of the questions above was what size tank and how many corys are in the tank. Well, I have a lot of tanks. I have 26 species tanks of corys. Half are 10gl tanks and the rest are a 20 longs and highs. I average about 6 ...

Colonizing black worms
I recently purchased some black worms and was feeding them to my corys daily. I keep the black worms in a 10gl tank and I use a turkey baster to transfer the worms to my cory tanks. Each of my cory tanks have about a 1/2 of sand and some of the black worms have burrowed into the sand. My question ...

Re: Breeding tank size
This answer really has to be based on the size of the fish, the size of the spawn, and how fast you'll be able to thin out the fry. It's completely possible to spawn fish in tanks which appear extremely cramped for them (I've spawned bristlenose in 5 gallon tanks several times). However, the fry ...

Re: Having trouble breeding
I'd like to know a little more about your water, pH KH gh? Live foods in general are helpful trigger Walter or white worms, Dafania work too. I've had luck with playing with sex ratio. Try to adjust so you have more males than females, then every few weeks remove a few fish keeping the ratio male ...

Re: Having trouble breeding
What about lighting? My tanks are in a room where the lights are on and off for about 3 hrs after sunset.
Also, are my tanks too small?
Also, if I have 6 sterbai's in a 10gl tank, should I remove some and just leave 1F and 2M's?

Re: Having trouble breeding
I haven't tried black worms yet but I will. I just need to find who has them locally.Narwhal72 wrote:If you know a weather front is coming through soon try feeding live blackworms for about 3-4 days in a row just before the front. Cory's love them and they are great for conditioning them to spawn.
Thanks

They could be eating the eggs. What time of day do they usually lay eggs?verbal wrote:Try a 75% or more water change. It maybe also that they are spawning, but eating the eggs.

Having trouble breeding
Hello all, I recently got a bunch of different species of cories but I have yet to get any of them to breed. I have them all in species 10gl tanks with sponge filters. Water ph around 7.0 and soft. Temp 72-76. Do 50% water changes weekly. Feed them New Era food or frozen blood worms daily. Tanks ...

Re: Where to buy
I know Uncle Neds quite well. He's got some nice livestock but Im not really looking to pay full retail unless I have too. I may make a run down there this w/e. I've hit the auctions, its a hit or miss. I was out at the Pioneer Valley auction this spring and I was blown away when the final bid for 3 ...

Re: Where to buy
Thanks for the reply. I've been checking Aquabid for awhile. Seems like most want top dollar for their livestock (I would too) but then got to pay shipping on top of it. Any other potential sources?jp11biod wrote:There are several, I prefer Aquabid that many importers and breeders use to sell their fish.
