Do you keep L273s? Titanicus pleco.
I'm starting a collection. The tail of an L273 can be splendidly long! And not to mention the body colours, spots. Wow, what a fish! :P

Thanks, INXS. Good to hear from an experienced hand. Barbie, I'm not sure if metronidazole can work - has it been used successful to treat velvet? Thanks for your comment, it is true malachite green will be quite detrimental to the nitrifying bacteria. Just hope my fishes never do get this nasty ...

Any idea what's in the "anti-slime & Velvet" concoction? Which co makes this product, eg Waterlife, Interpret.

Are there any other alternatives?

Treatment For Velvet

Can malachite green/formalin be used in a pleco tank?
What's the dosage to be used?

Are there any other medication for velvet?

Many thanks. :D

The driftwood that is available at the lfs is usually hardwood. Is softwood better for Panaques?
Anyone?

Panaque - Wood

Curious to know what kind of wood is best for Panaques such as Royals?

What is normally being used and what's best for Royals?

Keeping Royals

Hi All, I'm new to plecos and recently become very interested in Royals. Could you advise whether they can be kept together as adults and whether there is any way to reduce aggression. Are there any plecos that cannot be kept with Royals? What would be a better option, to keep Royals of the same ...

New Pleco Enthusiast

Hi, Just joined this forum and would like to introduce myself. I'm from Singapore. I've been keeping cichlids for a while and recently started to look at plecos. Now I'm completely immersed in pleco culture. Started a small collection of Zebras, Royals, among others. I'm planning to have a full ...
