Re: Terrarium as Aquarium...?
Darn, alright. I was hoping. But I'd rather not have an aquarium explode everywhere, so probably best to do some aquarium hunting!

OH! It's a Zilla, not a Zoomed! I thought it sounded wrong when I said Zoomed...
It's the 40 breeder that came with the XL Bearded Dragon Kit.
Thank you!

Re: Terrarium as Aquarium...?
It is silicone sealed. I'd have to test it still, just to be safe. I suppose I can try measuring it. It does have black trim on it like any other terrarium/aquarium. I can probably pop one of the sides off to check though. The tank came with the larger of the two Zoomed Bearded Dragon Kits. So it's ...

Terrarium as Aquarium...?
Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone here has done this, but worth a shot. I recently had a cory lay eggs, and decided to try to save some of them. I tried a few times but they never hatched. I was pretty sure these ones were. They hatched a week ago and are doing well. There's somewhere between 50-60 ...

Re: Raising Albino/Pepper Cory Fry
I'll keep it in mind! The one I have is a little overkill, but might work if I need it. Their water's about 73-74F right now without the heater. They ate some more, and there's even more of them. More hatched. I thought all the eggs had hatched, but apparently there were still some waiting to come ...

Re: Raising Albino/Pepper Cory Fry
Thanks! a. They're only a few mm. Really tiny! I'll stick with the fry food I bought. All my other fish get a mix of different foods, so I could grind some of those down to try. I have bloodworms, shrimp pellets, veggie pellets, two different flakes, algae wafers, frozen mixed seafood and veggie ...

Raising Albino/Pepper Cory Fry
I read through the "raising fry" thread, and had a couple more questions. I successfully hatched approx. 30 cory eggs! They hatched some time late last night. I caught my big albino female carrying them around, and after she laid them I moved them to their own small tank. The tank is about 1 gallon ...

Re: Peppered Cory Width?
Wish my corys got that big! Mine tend to stay a little on the smaller side.My pepper is about 2 inches long, but he still doesn't seem all that big to me. I don't know if I'd personally use pipes for my corys. They have places they can hide, but never really use them. They chill under their pagoda ...

Awh, look at that big pleco! He's mighty cute! How big is he?
Also, poor little Pictus. Maybe the big guy can help keep him safe now.

Bristlenose Plecos?
Hey guys! I was recently offered a young bristlenose pleco, and am thinking of taking the offer. I've been hoping for a smaller pleco for my aquarium, and from what I know, these guys are supposed to stay much smaller than common plecos. I was just wondering if there's anything important I should ...

Re: corydoras and gravel/sand
I've heard sand is preferable as well, though I keep mine in an aquarium with larger round pebbles and they seem to be doing well. Everyone has long barbels and are quite healthy. There's a smooth flat stone in there that they all like to group up and hang out on, but they need to root through the ...

Where to find Sterbais?
I really want to get a couple of Sterbais to hang out with my other corys, question is, where does one find these guys? For anyone who has some, did you find them in stores? Through a private breeder? Online? Etc.? I'd love to get a variety of corys, but I can only seem to find bronze, peppers, and ...

Re: Transferring Filters to New Tanks
Sounds like it isn't too bad an idea then! I'd definitely give it a quick clean in case there's any sludge in there, and I'm going to get some new water treated within the next few days so it's ready for the new filter and fish when I transfer them in two weeks. Should I give the cartridges a gentle ...

Re: Transferring Filters to New Tanks
My own fish will be going in there. I have a smaller tank with some fish I've had for a couple years. I want to set up my 25 gallon for them. As far as I know, nothing's wrong with his aquarium. I don't think he'd sell me a filter that's in a tank with any sickness either... I liked the benefit of ...

Transferring Filters to New Tanks
I've never done this before, and was just wondering if anyone else has tried it and had any success. I'm setting up a 25 gallon aquarium for my Corys in about two weeks. I need to upgrade my filter, and have a friend who's willing to sell me one of his MarineLand filters. His tanks are very well ...

My elegans laid eggs today. They're tan colored, but look like they have a bit of a white center. Any idea of they may be fertile? The only male in the tank is a peppered cory.

Question about a heater
Hey guys! I'm planning on setting up a new aquarium soon. I already have the tank, it's a 26 gallon hex, and a lid for it. I know I need to invest in a more powerful filter for it. However, I have an Elite heater that's meant for a 20 gallon, and was wondering if I might be able to get away with ...

Cory with Bubbles on Skin
I posted earlier regarding my Bronze Cory. After keeping a close eye, a big problem has cropped up. The base of her dorsal fin is covered with clear gas or liquid bubbles. There's some on her side and tail too. Does anybody know what I need to do to treat this? I'm not very familiar with this ...

Wow! Beautiful work!
Jungle tanks are always so pretty. Very relaxing to look over. I'd love to set up a fully planted tank one day. But I have a giant Peruvian apple snail who would end up munching it all.

About Sand...
I have an aquarium with a trio of Cory cats, two danios, and two snails. They're on fine, smooth pebbles, however, I'm interested in switching to sand once I move them back to the larger aquarium. I've actually never used sand in an aquarium myself, but I think it looks quite nice, and I've heard it ...

EDIT: She turned around so I was able to get some pictures. They aren't the best quality, but I was hoping it'd give you an idea of her condition. I'm noticing her plates are beginning to look a little puffy... NOTE: Her eye is NOT white. That was just the camera flash. As the title suggests, I have ...
