Looks very much like a pterygophichthys Joselimaianus I have just brought a very small one put into my 4ft tank, they live for about 10-15 years.get about 12in . So when he or she get bigger will go into a 6ft tank.

If it as no bristles on the top of head it is female males have big bristles on their heads looking at the photo looks like a female.

The first one is female if it as no bristles on the top of it head. The other is male. Both are albino,s or as some call them gold bn.

Looking at your picture could well be a L182 that his the nearest I could find in the book. Your picture is not clear. But that the closes I found hope this

You could be right L201 and looks like you have a male and female I think the chunky one is the female.

Yes I always use a heater guard with my plecos as I have had one burnt before. So to be safe I always use one.
