I think those L-191 , includind other Panaque in trade are all wild caugh, as overhere in Thailand , I know and importer from Taiwan who imports them from local fish farms in south America and re-exports them all over the world. Here is a branch shop of "Limpid Aquarium" from Taiwan, in Chatuchak ...

They recommend a kind of fomular "FMC" to against most of bug!
Overehere in my country Thailand, there is a product which is made of the same thing pretty close to "FMC" and it's proved to treat the disease on pleco very well.

I've kept L-273 "Titanic" and LDA-105 "Typhoon" for a while, they alway hide in wood or cave all day and come out only at night.

Beyond the nutrient, I think the carotinoid from shrimp could enhance the red colour of the fish too, as one of my younger "Scarlet" seem to get better red.

One of my female "Scarlet" that recently be imported with thin body has been fed up so well with the frozen river shrimp & Hikari's Massivore pellet.

Overhere we can obtain frozen river shrimp as a flat pack that can be easily broken up into daily portions. A frozen food portion should not be put directly into the tank, they should be first be thawed out, by using a plastic sieve and let the food thawed under the tap water.

Frozen river shrimp - a favorite food for my Pseudacanthicus
In Thailand, there is a native species of freshwater river shrimp which has been used as live food or frozen for feeding carnivorous fishes, especially my beloved Pseudacanthicus. They seem to like this stuff very much

Also the Oxygen is up to 8ml. as I use the Protein Skimmer to increse the dissolve O2 beyond a very strong powerhead and surface outflow.

By the way, the water parameter in this tank is quite good. I think because I use moving bead as filter media and I change the water 50% every week.

About two week later, I noticed that the natural colors of the fish seem to be enhanced and look much better!

But every morning, I notice that this "Flame Pleco" prefers to take a morning sunbath by clinging on the wall at the sunlight, instead hiding under the wood.
