If I am right, its a male as it has big bristles on the front of its face so it cant be egg bound. Is it acting any different than normal, I know that Plecs can get digestive disorders if not fed regular with green etc.

This is my Royal Plec have had him since last year and he is doing really well, have only just been able to get a good close up of him as he always swims away when the camera comes out!!!!

I dont really want to kill them if I can help it as they look quite nice in the tank, makes it look more sea like, but I would like to keep them from infesting (if they can do that), my other fish dont bother with them and visa versa

I definately have hydras going by the picture you have, they are tiny and white and the moment, I am thinking of getting a fish that eats them as mentioned in one of the replies above.

Are they a danger to my fish??, I have 2 babies about 1 and a half cm long in my other tank that I wanted to add to this tank will they be safe or will they get stung by them and die?

Can anyone help me, I have found quite a few of these little things attached to the inside of my tank, they look like little white worms with tentacles, they are attached to the tank by there end and their tentacles wave about in the water, cant think what they are, the fish are not eating them, the ...

Can I add my fry to main tank now??

two of my fry survived till now out of 5 of them, they are both about a centimetre and a half big now and look like miniture versions of my bigger corys. Can I add them to the main tank or are they still too small, I have 6 clown loaches, 5 corys and a plec, do you think they might eat them?? Cheers ...

I will only be able to come for the day as I have a hyperactive daughter so I wont be able to leave her for the weekend. I cant wait, this will be the first I have been on so it will all be new and exciting to me, and very nervous as I will not know anyone there.

Thank you, I have never sold to a pet shop before as this is my first hatch (am really proud after months of trying)

How old do coys have to be....

How old do Corys have to be before they can go to new homes?? As I have a friend who would like to give a home to my new borns once they are bigger, but being its my first hatch I dont know how old they have to be?

A baby hatched from the new batch yesterday, it only took it 2 days!!!!!.

Fry are still here..

Just an update really, my fry that hatched a weekd ago are still here, they are now swimming around and I can see their eyes and that now, they are very strong little things and seem to get a bit bigger every day, will get some pictures up once I have sorted my camera out.

I done it found 3 eggs on the side of the tank 3 days ago and I took them out and put them in a little container and added oxygenating tablets to the water and left it floating on the top of the tank, this morning there are 2 baby fry there swimming around, the other egg was infertile. Thank you, your fry are beautiful, your so lucky. I will have to wait until they spawn again, I have 2 females and 3 males in my tank, and when the spawn I have to be quick to get the eggs out as the clown loaches come behind them and eat them up as soon as they are laid, hopefully I will do better ...

Hi they are in a breeding net that hangs over the side of the tank, so the holes are very tiny. I took the net out last night and had a good look with my magnifying glass and there was nothing there, so I feel really stupid thinking that I had fry, maybe I did and they escaped. What do you suggest ...

They dont move when I watch them but if I go back and look they are in different places, but that could just be the water moving??, feel really disappointed if they are gone!!!

Frozen, I have a problem though I cant see them, I got a magnifying glass, the brown splinters are still there but I can seem to see them as fry, could I be mistaken and it just be brown algae of something!!!!

Mark need some food advice, I looked in the net breeder this morning and all the little brown splinters (thats how I see them!!!LOL) have gathered onto the shrimp brine that I put in there yesterday, the thing is there is still a bit left, do I leave it there and feed again once they have eaten it ...
