i dos'nt seem real so ive asked the seller a couple of question's. Kev Good luck! On their fist auction (6 zebras) they had an email address which clearly showed a domain name. I looked this up and found their contact detail which included a mobile no: I have yet to get anyone to answer this phone ...

I recently posted a thread on the zebra plec site about these fish being offered to certain retailers (me included) at silly prices (£20). I was also told huge stockpiles existed and were being used to breed. I was also told hormones were being used to "speed up" the breeding and growth process. ...

L017 Information required

One of these turned up in a order of plecs we placed for the shop today but after many hours of research I still have very little information about them. Is there anyone who has any knowledge about the size they get to, eating habbits etc?

Any info would be greatly welcomed.

Thank you Barbie for the LDA08 information! Is there any chance you could post a picture of the caves you use? I normally use the plain slate oblong caves for my BN's but the Claro's don't seem interested in them at all. One of my Albino BN males wont spawn in anything but a Spawning Cave that is ...

Thanks davidkozak for the infomation and great pictures! I have half solved the problem by putting the other Red Lizard Cats in a different tank so the female can't eat the fry. I will also use the turkey baster to collect the fry when they hatch.

L010a Red Lizard Cat has eggs ..help!

I have had about 4 of these for a while and although I had planned to get them to breed at some point they seem to have determined that the time is right now  I am just setting up the fish house so everything is in temp accomodation and the Red Lizard Cats are currently sharing with 3 L260's ...

Barbie is spot on with the faded coloration. I have three breeding groups of these and the males are all dark and females faded. The marbled belly is said to be male however I have several females that I know have produced eggs with a marbled belly so its gets tricky sometimes

I use play sand in nearly all my tanks but again I have to agree an inch deep is plenty. I wash the sand over and over again untill the water runs clear and then when you add it to the tank it setles to the bottom and the tank water is crystal clear.
