Re: Synodontis Lateral Line Erosion?
How long did it take for the LLD to develop? I am guessing it developed over many months..... It can take equally as long to reverse the conditions..... I would give it a couple months before I ruled out anything. Have the symptoms gotten worse? That's the first question to ask. IMHO, the Vitamin C ...

Re: Unknown Bolivian Ancisrus
Hi Eric, Apologies to others for going off topic..... Breeding herps has been a profession for me for many years. I was partner in a farm called "Sandfire Dragon Ranch" and we bred them on a commercial scale. I absolutely fell in love with this group of frogs and they really are like no other. I was ...

Re: Unknown Bolivian Ancisrus
Hi Shane, I am afraid because he is a Herp guy and not a fish guy, that he wasn't paying any attention to river systems at all. Its a relatively dry area by his description. (near Gran Chaco) and he said they saw what he called "four different kind of Plecos" in the small stream they explored near ...

Unknown Bolivian Ancistrus
Hello everyone. A friend of mine just emailed me a photo he took yesterday while on a Reptile adventure in Bolivia of an interesting little Ancistrus. He doesn't know anything at all about fish but thought I would enjoy it, which I do. I don't, however, enjoy not knowing exactly what it is, so ...

Re: REPASHY, i keep seeing this pop up
Best food I ever used! ;) Seriously though...... As Shane pointed out, you can use a dehydrator to make it into nice dry "Jerky" bits that will last a uber long time in the aquarium which is great for plecos. You can also mix various formulas together and make your own blend. The Morning Wood ...

"Distribution" link error
When I am viewing a species in the Cat-eLog, and I click on the linked river name, I get the following error:
Error: You must have at least one search condition!
I have checked multiple species pages and all have the same issue.
Cheers, Allen

Re: what was the highlight of CatCon for you?
I had an absolute blast! The talks were great and the conversation was just as interesting. I enjoyed finally meeting so many people face to face that I have met through this site. I even got to meet some of my dealers in person for the first time. I went early and joined the trip to the National ...

Re: Should hybrid or bred forms of Plecos be given l-numbers
I have been following this topic with interest, and I just thought I would throw another wrench in the gears here. I will use an analogy that I have a lot of experience with, because there are quite a few similar issues, and for the most part, my experience is probably very deep compared to pleco ...

Re: L204 feeding
Hi Summer! In addition to the Soilent Green, I would suggest you play around with my "Morning Wood" Formula. I actually used L204's as some of my test subjects and they have been eating a rotation of it and "Soilent Green" for about a year and a half now and have thrived quite well. It uses wood ...
