Re: Roller mat filters in sump, any good???
Hi there, yes, I use this on a freshwater discus tank. You can see the details in this video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En7WAXeukGk I also know that Jake at ReefBuilders studio uses this in his Fresh Water tanks as well. It's a mechanical filtration device that changes the filter roll ...

Re: Pseudohemiodon apithanos health issues
Update: Today is the last day of Antibiotic medication. I am going to do a massive 75% water change and let the fish breath in plain ol' water for a change. Once they start to eat propery in a week or so, I will start the levamisole + Prazi treatment. I will continue to keep this thread updated so ...

Re: Question/pseudacanthicus emergency
da71d, As Erik suggested, raising the temp might help. Take it with a grain of salt- In other wild caught fish (Altum Angels/ Wild Discus)- they usually come infested with tapeworms or other parasites in the stomach. They usually block the intestines and the fish cannot excrete and hence doesn't eat ...

Re: Pseudohemiodon apithanos health issues
Just wanted to post an update- After losing two of the fish, I made some changes- 1. Brought the temp down to 74.5- I did this as a knee jerk reaction. Hyperventilating seemed like lack of oxygen which correlated with the high temp in my tank. Hence, the lower temp. 2. I dosed the tank woth ...

Pseudohemiodon apithanos
Wetspot had them a while back but not anymore!
Is there any particular season that they get imported?
Anyone with F1 fish in the States?
If someone is importing from Peru, please let me know I want a bunch of fish from Peru.

Hypoptopoma gulare pictures :)
Hello cat lovers :) So 4 months ago I got these beautiful otos from Rachel (msjinkzd.com) They turned out to be quite bigger for my small planted tank so I made a 20G tank for them. A lot of DW and moss.. I just loved them. They eat Hikari micro pallets, bloodworms, boiled spinach, zucchini ...

Re: L204 feeding
Hi Summer! In addition to the Soilent Green, I would suggest you play around with my "Morning Wood" Formula. I actually used L204's as some of my test subjects and they have been eating a rotation of it and "Soilent Green" for about a year and a half now and have thrived quite well. It uses wood ...

L204 feeding
Dont worry I'm not gonna say that its not eating or having problems eating. Haha.. My problem is just the opposite. So, 4 days ago I bought a wildcaught L204 at ACA convention. It was a very healthy specimen. I brought it home and here are the tank's parameters- Tank- 29G pH- 6.8 TDS-160-170 Kh- 4 ...
