Re: My 30" Tank
hi, oh sweet, some wood look great ! great you are getting a new filter, as the orange ones take away the natural look. Plants are cool too, lucky you can grow them, me, I have never had the luck with live plants (see my tank a few scrolls down-"silk plants thread") but that is the best I can do ...

Re: My 30" Tank
I like how you have the slate slightly tucked into the substrate. Looks natural that way ! Do you think you could add a wider plant or perhaps a piece of wood in front of the filter to hide it better? just imo, otherwise nice, and more plants will be great . Thanks for sharing. Georgie I plan to ...

Re: My 30" Tank
Sorry for the late update but here it is all cleared up. The tub is only there to save some of them until I can get it planted out enough that the babies can survive on their own.

My 30" Tank
So, I finally got round to actually doing something with my tank today. I had an abundance of plants that had run their course and were starting to look a little down so they went to my friend for her tank. Here's my 30" tank now. http://i782.photobucket.com/albums/yy104/madmum_2010/2013-02-15062452 ...

Re: Hypancistrus Zebra
one thing i had a hard time learning when i was new to the hobby is that opinions are like @55$%$les, everyone has one and they usually stink... most of the time there are no steadfast rules or absolutes to what works and what doesnt when it comes to breeding fish.. what might work for you might ...

Re: Corydoras ID
Hi, if you take a closer look the dorsal fin marking is variable in CW061. In general the body proportions are more important to look at with corys, CW061 seems to be a more slender species than C. reticulatus. I would still say it's CW061 and not C. reticulatus. These are definitely not C. sodalis ...

Re: Hypancistrus Zebra
why would your friend even bother trying to breed h. zebra with a Polypterus Delhezi in the tank? that doesnt make any sense.. why even bother, if they do breed itd make for the most expensive fish food ever It's my partner(boyfriend) and apparently he's getting a new tank for the Delhezi(a 500l ...

Re: Hypancistrus Zebra
I know Hyalobagrus Flavus usually likes slow waters and plants but mine tend to like flow... They actually spawned in a heavy flow tank(no babies but eggs) so I think they are happy, they've always been in fast flow and they are in a planted tank with a rocky front layout. At least I have fish that ...

Hypancistrus Zebra
My partner may be getting a group of between 10-20 Hypancistrus Zebra and he's said that because males are so territorial if he get's more than 1 male he's going to sell the extra's and just keep 1 male and all the females and he's going to try breeding them. I've been reading through breeding ...

Is CW061 the same as Sp.(C061)? If so they look nothing like each other... I'm confused, I'm not the best with CW/C numbers for coryskamas88 wrote:Hi,

Re: Some debate on what this plec could be
No problems with tank size There's more to it than tank size. Levels of pollutants in the tank can play a part, as will the type and quantity of food it's fed. But, before you say "hey, my water is great and I feed my fish real good", there are also other things beyond your control, such as the ...

Re: Some debate on what this plec could be
It's true that it's strange that it hasn't grown more, but that doesn't make it not a common pleco ;) Fish can become stunted for many different reasons. I will say that the fish is in a 75G tank with a definite Bristlenose :) And has not grown in 6 months, is about 4" long as stated. No problems ...

Corydoras ID
Hi everyone, new here :) My friend just bought this cory and although I think it's a very washed out(was with a breeding pair of Firemouths and no other cories, no plants or places to hide in the shop) C. Trilineatus. My other friend thinks it's a C. Sodalis. Now, I've looked at your Catfish files ...
