Re: Synodontis granulosus fry purchase
I was at discuss madness in NJ yesterday and they have a lot of f1granulosus fry. I was asking them about the fry since most are rumored to be hybrids. According to them they have the only true source of pure bred granulosus in the country. thought worth sharing if you want to look further into it.

Re: dwarf electric catfish malapterus microstoma
lots of personality to him. Always comes to me when I enter the fish room and follows me as much as he can. Fun to hand feed.
I consider him one of the more intelligent fish I own (such as fahaka, rays, giant gourami that have own/owned) which counts for a lot.

Bagarius bagarius And bagarius suchus Question
is bagarius bagarius a true giant or dwarf? I have read very conflicting info on what I consider
Typically credible websites.
Also what are people's experiences keeping either in a warmer tank (75-83)? Thanks

Re: WTB bolt cats
thanks for the reply. Think Ichiban is out of the game for now.
Great list. I have dealt with most of them. Unfortunately none of them have the fish. I never heard back form Ted but I also think he stopped importing fish as well and now just breeds.

cat ID
I got these two "bumble bee cats" from a friend. All he could tell me is that they are south american bumble bees and might be venomous. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm280/mcharney1/15077F77-6C00-4A62-9403-83C037500D97_zps6znmntsp.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm280/mcharney1/E7BCB8A2 ...

Thank you. That is where I got mine from. I am putting together another order through him and wanted another but he is sold out. Following an interesting new lead will see if it works out. That being said if anyone knows of any please let me know.

Re: Catfish suggestions??
Zebrina are fairly docile for a pike and will have dithers. Will keep my eye out for some others that I like. If it doesn't work will just have to go bigger!

Re: Catfish suggestions??
thank your for the suggestions. I will look into them. I was actually thinking hoplo myself. In general most cichlids are good parents. Though Crenichichla are excellent parents and will protect their fry for about a year.

Catfish suggestions??
I have a group of 5 zebrina pike cichlids that I will be soon moving into a 225 gallon (6 ft x 4 ft foot print). There will also be some uaru and severums in the tank. I was initially planning on doing some large plecos (L14 and L25) but I am moving away from plecos. I am looking for catfish ...

Re: Feeding Electric catfish
I say twice a week sould be fine but depending on the current condition / character of your specimen. Got photos to show ? :) Thanks will try to get some photos later. He is a great fish. Overall fairly active and begs for food. Right now he is in a 180. I am contemplating moving him to a 225 (6ft ...

HI I have a 22 inch electric catfish that I am feeding daily. Should I be feeding him this frequently or would I be better with one or two meals a week?
Thank you

he was an easy target and never moved. I think either the dat or gar went for him for some reason. he was a gorgeous tig and pushing 12 inches.

Re: Ageneiosus marmoratus hammerhead catfish
Lol the lei is but he is also a solid 18 inches or so the gar is only 12. The lei is boss. I it was definitely violence out of no where. Just not completely sure who to blame. There are always minor split fins in my tank but typically no more. I think I will start with one of the hammer head cats ...

Re: Ageneiosus marmoratus hammerhead catfish
thank you for the input. Aggression overall is pretty limited in my tank. that might change as the stock grows but could be ok. My tropical gar will kill anything silver and shiny other then that he is pretty good. I did loose my beautiful tig recently and I did blame him but I am not so sure his ...

what about Mark from Discus Origin. He is a great guy to work with. I have no clue where in Florida he is though
Also maybe imperial tropicals. they are a farm but they import. They are probably the biggest importer of hypostomus luteus
