I've started a medicine for bacterial infections (Sera Bactopur) and the sick fish is doing slightly better, but I still believe I'm going to lose it.
This batch of fish ( the 4 bronze) must have been of low quality. They all seem weak and starved, so I'm doing my best to ...

C. Aeneus Problem
Hello everyone!
Today I purchased 4 Corydoras Aeneus to add them to the 20G tank (click on my profile), along with the 2 albinos. I'm planning on increasing their number to 8-9 total. From the first moment that they arrived home, one of them seemed to be in a worst condition than the others. After ...

Re: small rocks in play sand harmful?
I don't think 1 inch of sand will be an issue. Many of as have way more because of the plants. Also , be careful with your snail population.

Re: Dwarf or Pygmy " Corydoras aeneus ?
It could just be a fish with some sort of health problem (nanisme). This could happen because it or its parents were not properly fed and were living in an environment with poor quality water or something is not right with its genes. This could explain why the other dwarves died. I'm not saying that ...

Hello everyone! I have great news! My cories have just spawned! I had noticed the pre-spawning behaviour the last days and today I decided to make a WC to get them into mood, but they have already laid eggs! Unfortunately there are just 5-6 of them so far but I have read that this may happen at ...

Re: Sterbai Sexing
Based on those pics, at least two females. I could be wrong, there could be more. Continue feeding them for a few more months. Then, you'll find out females have plump bodies compared to the male's tapered appearance. Good luck!

Re: Sterbai Sexing
Hello everyone,
I have been trying really hard to catch my corydoras but with no result.I want to take some pictures of them from above and try to tell their gender.Any tips?
The don't seem to fall for the common bottle trap and I can't catch them with a net because the tank is full planted.
Thanks

Hi,
Some months have passed and my Corydoras look more healthy. I still can't figure their sex, but they look like females to me x( .
Here's a recent pic. Does it give you any clue or taking the fish out of the tank for better pics is necessary? I wouldn't like to stress them. If this photo helps I ...

Thank you for your help!
Next week I'll finally get my hands on a grindal worms colony. Could you suggest me a specific food that your corys like? I am thinking to buy one from Ebay. I have read many good critics about Hikari but there is limited variety in my area. I also think that my Corys prefer ...

I purchased the Sera Vipachips and it doesn't seem they like them.In the next days I'll try to find Grindal and start feeding my fish with both live and frozen foods for about a week. After that, I will do a 50% WC.Let's hope they will breed!

Re: Best Corydoras Foods
While expired foods that have been stored correctly and not go damp or mold on them will probably do no harm. They probably wont be full with all the goodies it should.

Re: Sterbai Sexing
One more question.I know that it is normal for corydoras to go up to the surface and breath sometimes, but one of mine does it all the time.S/he spends much more time up there than the other sterbai and I'm a little worried. What can I do?
