I have to agree that woodcats are difficult to come by here in the U.S. I am keeping what would seem to be the most common species: milky way cats, honeycomb cats and jaguar cats. Did you get the reticulatus from Oliver Lucanus?

That video just shows why other catfish species should be more common when compared to say iridescent sharks, Pangasius hypophthalmus.

Re: My little zebra group
You probably do not have to do anything to encourage them to spawn. If they are young, give them more time. They will figure it out. Zebras reach maturity around year two. As long as extremes are avoided in water values, you keep them at 82 F, provide pellet and frozen foods and make regular water ...

I agree that a river system would help, along with a photo of dentition. I also agree with the Dark One of which Genera to look at.

Someone beat me to it! Oh well, I am still going to keep trying anyways. They are such a beautiful fish! I have 2 adult fish 9 and 12", 2 sub-adult fish 6 and 7" in a 100 gallon tank. Mine are being fed shrimp, algae waffers, bloodworms and large pellets. My favorite pleco by and large.

It is a little low to only have two fish per box. I'd think with express you should be able to fit a half dozen or maybe even more. Certainly the cost of shipping is going up but you may not get many wanting the fish if the cost of shipping costs that much. I used to ship a dozen or so royal ...

I'd recommend keeping L. desmotes. I have found these always with shipments of L. fasciatus. They get half the length and have none of the aggression L. fasciatus has. I am keeping two L. desmotes in my 150 gallon tank with Geophagus, Scobiancistrus and Liosomadoras.

Yes we collected a type of Rivulus here as well as the North-Eastern portion of the Madre de Dios region, less then 30 miles from the Bolivian border. I did not get any photos of the Rivulus but Brian Perkins has these currently. He might be able to share some photos of these with us.

Your parent fish FantasticFins looks very close to one of the male Hypancistrus spp. I am currently keeping and the only one that survived through quarantine when I bought these fish 4 years ago.

The jaguars are kept in a separate tank with other larger species. The Tatia and Centromochlus are in seperate aquariums for spawning. Last week I had a female C. perugiae lay around 30 eggs. These later turned out to be infertile. I also had two different female T. intermedia lay eggs last week ...

Another fish that is coming in that is very similar to that pictured would be Peckoltia vittata or L-15. More recently I have seen quite a few of these coming in. Most species of Peckoltia that have markings like the one pictured are very hard to tell apart. If there is any way to find the location ...

Parotocinclus maculicauda Spawned
I found a few eggs late last week in my tank of Parotocinclus maculicauda . They started to hatch late Sunday into Monday. Of the 6 eggs I found 3 of them hatched and 3 were infertile. The tank contains 4 P. maculicauda setup in a 10 gallon (40 l) with heater and sponge filter. The tank has oak ...

The water is conditioned for 24 hours before use. I will use an agent but all chlorine is removed prior of use.
