Not a very good photo but it shows more colour.
The first was taken with a flash within a minute after setteng them free.
I was mistaken when I said they are 10cm, more like 8cm now when I see them next to the corydoras sterbai.

Re: Ancistrus sp rio paraguay?
Hi Yann,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm not sure of hoe old these Ancistrus are, but as they still are only 10cm I would say its definitly not A.Pirareta.
This photo was taken right after I put them in my tank, I don't think they are mature yet but I also dont think that they will get much bigger.

Parotocinclus haroldoi or something else?
This little fellow is in my tank for about 4 years now but I still wonder what species it is.
My best guess is a Parotocinclus haroldoi.
Any thoughts?

Hypoptopoma sp3?
And another question,... got these little guys as Hypoptopoma inexpectatum but,... a few cm too big and the pattern doesn't match.
My guess is Hypoptopoma sp3.
Any thoughts?

Hemiloricaria,....?
Hi guys.
I was wondering if you could help me identify my Hemiloricaria.
My best guess is Hemiloricaria Beni but I'm not sure. It actually is around 8cm so that would sound right.
Very light colour due to my sand bottom and very fat due to having way to much food in my discus tank.

Re: Sturisoma's species
Hi, the second post with pics, these are 2 different species. I will try to make better pics soon and post them. In my second post the first pic is the 2 species next to eachother. There is a big difference.
in size. My guess for the smaller ones would be S. sp aff Festivum.

Re: Sturisoma's species
Finally made some extra photo's :D
The first picture is the 2 spiecies next to eachother, note the size difference.
Wondering if it could be the S.Festivum or maybe a S. Aureum?
The smaller one is not a juvenile, this is a breeding female.

Re: Sturisoma's species
Hey Bas, thanks for your input, however,... the difference between the first and 3rd species in the photo's is not only in size.
If you take a closer look at the (I think the) pectoral fins you can see the difference.
One thing I am sure about that this large sturisoma is a male.
The second spiecies ...

Sturisoma's species
Hi guys, I'm new to the PCF forums, though I have been visiting this site for a long time now.
I have 3 spiecies of Sturisoma in my fishtank and really would like to know witch ones I have.
This is the first one, i bought this as a Sturisoma Festivum and it's about 18cm (almost 7.1 Inch)
So this ...
