Red Ancistris fins
One of my bn has a little red edge to his fins. they hide alot so i rarely see them. I do have a pair not sure if they are male female because they are a type ive never seen. the tank conditions are perfect tons of plants.

Will most woods work for plecs?
I know alot of woods are deadly but I was wondering if specifically sand blasted grapevive would be okay. Ive tried it before but it got really fuzzy and turned the water really dark. Any info would be appreciated

They are not endangered!
This old guy I meet and talked fish for a long time used to export a lot of fish from the area. The fish come from the same area as blue eyed plecos and yes there is a dam going up but the fish should still be able to be farmed. I feed them more than once a week and all babies are fine. Its the fastest cheapest way to get them up to size.

If i were you all the money your going to spend on overpriced canister filters, I would spend all the extra time and money towards a bigger sump with more filter material.
