Re: L333 and L129
24mm diameter should be fine. Multiple caves varying in size (24mm to 36mm diameter) would probably be best for trying to breed. It's more options for them to choose from. 12cm deep should also be fine, but I wouldn't go much shorter than that. Putting L333 and L129 together would not be a great ...

Re: Sailfin Pleco is malnourished?
I would not recommend overfeeding him. What he doesn't eat will only lower the quality of the tank water. You could try feeding him a smaller portion of different things and see what he eats. You can try blanched garden vegetables: cucumber, spinach, peas (deshelled), bell peppers, etc. (Here's a ...

I noticed in one of the answers you said "stagnant water". Do you have a filter? Or a bubbler? plecos need high oxygenation as they are found in rivers & are also high waste producers

She was, unfortunately the heater on that tank went & took almost all the fish, temp was 90+ degrees when I noticed. My Apisto's were the only ones who survived & the female Apisto passed a few weeks later from a subsequent bacterial infection.DrFree_man wrote:that pleco in your profile pic looks amazing!

Also, could be an Angelicus Pleco, Hypancistrus sp(l004) Let it settle in, it could just look different because of the change of gravel color & lighting. & Don't worry about the loaches. I had Hypancistrus debilittera , specifically the one in my profile pic, in the one decoration with two of my ...

Re: L102? and Need Help!!
Hard to tell from the picture. Video would be useful. Hypancistrus are carnivores. Pick up some Repashy Foods (though these require some prep) or Carnivore pellets (My Hypans eat Hikari Sinking Carniovore Pellets ). Or you can give him/her some cooked shrimp, using a fork to hold it at the bottom ...

Re: Танк 2300l фу L014, L048, L133
I don't know how likely Scobiancistrus are to interbreed, but hybridization is not recommended & can have bad results, especially if fry sold to the public, because it has the potential to pollute the gene pool. Most on here urge not to mix species capable of interbreeding because it creates a mess ...

Wetspot has Bagrichthys macracanthus on their stock list under "other cats". Anthony is great to deal with, just send him an email. The store is in Portland, Oregon.

1 & 2 appear to be males (Hair on 2 & Male vent on 1) 3 & 4, more likely, could be females, the pictures are out of focus. Also, look on the L270 page there are photo's that will show you differences & what to look for. Males are hairy (fin ends and along their sides) and have odontodes and a ...

Re: Sex these L-25, please!
Try getting better pictures of each fish. You can't really see much from these photo's. Try taking a closer dorsal picture of each, as well as pictures showing the sides of each fish, to better get a look at the shape of the fish and the odontodale growth. & try to take a picture through glass or ...

It's possible, though if you could take a ventral shot (picture showing the stomach side) of the fish it would give us another parameter to look at.

Looks like you have a pair of L201 (A is male, B looks female) If you look at A, like you said he has larger whiskers and 'hairy' fins. From the aerial view B has a more rounded head which curves back to the fins, while A's head is more squared off & the side continues in a straight line up past the ...

Re: He said: "Your L333 is a LDA19 ..."
I've had L129 & they don't appear to be L129. They do look like LDA019 but I'm not an expert. LDA019 only grow about 3" while L333 grow to about 6". Your one male looks to be mature so if he's still under 3" they're probably LDA019. Also, might want to check on the one in the cave, if it had a ...

They are fun, active fish. If you are using fake decorations, make sure to seal any openings they can get stuck in. I found a carcass of one in a decoration a few months after all mine died in a broken heater accident.

Wetspot had some on aquabid last week, they still have them on their stock list: http://www.wetspottropicalfish.com/index.php/fish

Discus Origins also has them on aquabid: http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/ ... 1362459489

Re: Sick plec help please
He's twitching/jumping frequently I've seen a pleco act like this once before. Check to see if he has a sunken belly. If it does, I'd suggest listening to MatsP and feeding it zucchini and/or trying algae wafers. I had used to have a Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, until I re-homed him to someone with ...

So, Pleco22, you think that this is could be an inverted pattern on a L129. If it is, this kind of reminds me of 'shiny' pokemon. (Here, for those who haven't played pokemon: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Shiny_Pok%C3%A9mon) I've never gotten a shiny pokemon in the game, but I'll take a ...

L129s including a color morph?
As a some of you may have already read, I purchased a group of 3 L066 pleco's and what I ended up with was 3 L129s; thanks for the ID Suckermouth. One of the three plecos is a color morph. I contacted the LFS and they said its passed the policy time (by 3 days), they're currently out of stock on ...
