Yea i have a marineland emperor 400 filter, but it just doesn't seem to be cutting it, and my method of water changing is very poor, and i have like a max of 14 gallons i can change at once in my 46 gallon tank. Which is why i asked if anyone could suggest a more efficient form of water changing.

I'm just wondering a couple things,

Recomended water declorination storage, or if that can be done intank. If not, is the water storage could double as a carrying device to either pour into the tank, or set up next to the tank for easy transfer.

what would be the recomended filtration, for a 12-14 inch albino sailfin in a 46 gallon tank. Yes i know he is probably to big for the tank, but when i got him he was like an inch long, and i though he was a common that might top out at 8 or so.

Yes i declorinate my water. Been doing water changes the ammonia is down. The only problem now is a lazy pleco, and some brown algae.

Chocolate pleco's r very dark, alot of albino common plecs have a light brownish tint growing slightly darker with age, and are sold as choclate pleco's in fish stores. Just letting you know.

First time he has ever hurt himself in the 4 years i have had him, and he used 2 be in a 14 gallon. It looked like a freak accident, i was just concerned because it's bright red underneath and it looks kinda bad, it's on the top of his head.
