i have made repairs on filters were the rubber
caps ware out at each end of the impeller by using
some air line or some small bore rubber pipe you sometimes
get in puncture repair kits and you can also find it in
fishing tackle shops hope this helps

looks like bloat with a secondary bacterial infection
could be due to a high protein diet i have seen this
been brought about with feeding to much blood worm
water changes and fresh veg

I don't know about feeding them to plecos, but should be alright in moderation. I used to keep the eggs from anything I caught on fishing trips to feed to my fish that evening when I got home. Most things conditioned rather well on them. My only caveat would be not to overfeed with these. Any that ...

i can get my hands on some crab eggs and some fish eggs (soft roe)
would these be ok to feed to plecs they have not been in brine or vinegar
the crab eggs have been boiled and the fish eggs (soft roe)are still raw

does ph have any effect on nitrite whether its less
toxic at a lower ph or a higher ph i have been reading
that nitrite is actually more toxic to fish than ammonia

A well built all glass silicone bonded tank doesn't require a secondary filet seal. In such a well built tank the secondary filet seal adds absolutely nothing to the tank's structural integrity. It merely adds insurance against leakage in case there are defects in the primary joint seals.

sorry jools i didn't know i thought with them using

i have been keeping plecs and fish for many years 40 plus
to be honest and i have just been told that plecs eat silicone
sealer i have never heard of this in all my time of fish keeping
can any one shine some light on this quandary cheers

hello i have a slight problem i breed bronze
and paleatus and i have no problem keeping the bronze
fry alive but i do with the paleatus the bronze seem to feed
all the time but i have noticed that the paleatus don't feed
