Re: What Kind of Pleco is this please
They are not the same kind of pleco, as the body shapes are different, the spots on the first one are much larger than the second one & the first one has much darker black body, as where the second sometimes has light patches like in the pic. If I can get a pic of the top of them I will post it. The ...

Re: What is the L# designated for this pleco?
Wow, look what I started..lol. This is very informitive indeed & sometimes confusing. The L# used in the hobby for selling I believe is used for simplicity more than $ as it is easier to remember the L# of a pleco rather than the scientific name. You certanly can not go by the common name people ...

That looks like the one, thank you. No wonder I had a hard time finding it, the first picture looks like the pleco is almost red & is a juvie.

L142 or?
I just got this pleco yesterday. The owner of the petstore wasn't sure what it was, so I did research for a few weeks & think it is a L142 & after all the time I spent trying to find out what it was, they sold it to me after a lot of pursuading. When I got it home I still think it is a L142. It is ...

Re: How sensitive are L177?
They were in a 55g tank that I had just done a 50% water change as I knew they were coming. When I put them in the tank, one of the plecos didn't eat at all from the start. I put fresh zucinni in the tank every night for them, & I tried 3 different wafers, shrimp pellets, pleco pellets, fish flakes ...

How sensitive are L177?
I am wondering how senstive L177 are. 2 weeks ago I bought 3 & another member bought 2 from a local seller, they arrived in looked to be ok shape, but 5 days later I woke up to find 2 of mine dead & the other member lost both of his as well. Then yesterday morning I woke up to find my last one dead ...

Re: What is the most aggressive pleco you have ever owned?
In one of my tanks My female L205 is a real bully, weather it's feeding time or if another fish goes near her cave, she uses the large spikes to ward off other fish. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m148/vicwheels/Fish/DSC04002.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m148/vicwheels/Fish/DSC03904 ...
