We had taken the possibility into a count that the fish is some kind of dangerous one. Better be cautious when identity is not know
Thanks for the info. I'll post better pics later this week

Unkown Catfish, who am i?
This is not mine, a friend has it. Came with a tank (about 250L). Size approx 10-15cm. We do not know what it is, hoping that it ain't the Clarias batrachus
Sorry about the quality, taken with a phonecamera. I'm going to visit friend later this week and taking better pics

Re: Needs to be confirmed if IDed correctly
Here is the smaller one..
Friend told that it is same as the first one, making it L-001/L-022, Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus
Is it possible that this one is not pure of either? Home bred variety?

Re: stamps
I wondered why some of my own pics were reversed. If all pics of fishes should be facing left, i still got left and right. Some of my own pics of fishes were already facing left. Should i replace them or is someone going to reverse them back?

Re: Needs to be confirmed if IDed correctly
Thanks for the pedantic opinion :d It helps and i didn't even think about the possibility that these are farm bred variety nor that they are not exported here for over a decade. Learning new every day. Thank you for your patience with me :YMHUG:

Re: Needs to be confirmed if IDed correctly
Got the L-021 - left side of pic, and the big sailfin - right side of pic, to show their belly's
So the small sailfin is not the sailfin i thought it was. Anyway, glad to know it is not some kind of giant later on and the bigger one is sailfin
I need to get the bigger aquarium working as soon as ...

I should have one Pterygoplichthys pardalis in the tank (35cm), pic attached. Is there a way to positively ID these fishes?

Re: Needs to be confirmed if IDed correctly
And here is the bigger Sail fin pleco, possible L-083. As you can see, the big and small ones ain't a like. I think that the smaller sail fin is the L-001, a dwarf sized

Re: Who are we? Were sold as Ancistrus sp.
Thank you for trying to identifying that one little pleco. I'm glad I was able to identify correctly two of three
I did some picture research, the L-075/L-124 looks like stressed L-075 in the cat-eLog but mine has better colours. Anyway, I like them

Re: Who are we? Were sold as Ancistrus sp.
So, I got two out of three right, cool! And thank you :) It was a quite quick answer
I didn't pay anything, only what driving to get each cost. Owners wanted to give them bigger home of water with right conditions
Edit:
The L-075 is "Ancistomus cf. sabaji", this http://www.planetcatfish.com/cotm ...

Who are we? Were sold as Ancistrus sp.
Am I even getting one id right? Sorry about the picture quality, they don't stay still long enough but if needed more pictures of better quality I'll try my best. Got them as rescue because were sold as the common "janitor fish", bearded catfish, Ancistrus sp. and were later recognized as pleco's by ...
