My local store very often has Panda cory's in stock, and usually pretty small ones at that. Maybe a group of those guys would work well in a 5-gal?

Thanks for the help guys, I want to do this thing right and this board has provided great answers. I picked up some shrimp pellets (Wardley's I think they are) and the Sterbai's and Panda's LOVE that stuff. They sort of nibbled on the Bio-Blend sinking pellets, but the shrimp pellets drive 'em nuts ...

Any of the above, meaning the larger-sized varieties I mentioned? That was really what I didn't know, was whether something like trilineatus or julii could kept in a 5-gal. The only other inhabitants are likely to be a pair of platy's or swordtails or something of that nature.

I"ll look around to see if I can find any of those species. I haven't seen them in my area, mostly julii (or trilineatus from what I've read!), sterbai, punctatus, schwartzii, green, panda, adolfi, arctus, and peppered.

Another "Can I keep them in this tank???" questio

I have a 5-gallon Eclipse hex tank, which is a little taller than it is long. It sits on my desktop beside the computer here. Is this a good tank at all for cory's? If so, how many is appropriate for a tank this size, and are there certain types that would be better suited for it?

Also, what type ...

I"ve looked around the site a little, and didn't find anything really definitive regarding feeding these guys. What's a good way to feed corys that share a tank with other fish such as tetras (congo's eat EVERYTHING I put in the water). How can I be sure enough of the right type of food makes it to ...

I'll ask this question, but I sense it's opening up a can of worms. I honestly don't know the deal with this: are hybrids a bad thing? I've never had fish that I was not supposed to let different "types" breed. It's cool if that's the deal with cory cats, I just didn't know!

Awesome, that's more per tank that I'd assumed would fit. I do wonder about your comment about keeping different species if I'm not interested in breeding. Will cories not breed if multiple species are present? If I have 5 and 5 (sterbai and julii) in a tank, is it not possible that two sterbai ...

General cory questions from a new guy

I'm relatively new with cory cats, althought I've kept a few without really knowing much about them. I'm thinking of adding several to a 29-gal, and possibly some more to a 90-gal, and have some questions. First, what is an appropriate number for the 29-gal? I currently have around 8 Black Neons and ...
