Hey, thanks Dave!!! Very quick reply.
My hesitation is that I really don't have anywhere to put this guy except in with the frontosa. I think that's probably a bad idea..... Just not enough space. What do you think? This guy with some synos and a colony of Mpimbwe gibbs in a 125g?

L133 question
I looked at the cat-elog entry for this fish, and it said that it is tolerant of varied water parameters. Can anyone be more specific? I'm thinking that I'd like to have one of these in my Tanganyikan community tank, and possibly in a frontosa tank as well (both tanks- ph 8.2, gh 13, kh 11). It ...

S. multipunctatus flashing, but cichlids not????
In my 90g (up and running ammonia and nitrite free for ~8 months), when I do my weekly water changes, the multipunctatus cats start doing some of the craziest flashing I have ever seen. Nothing happens to the cichlids. I have also noticed that the synos are much more playful recently (since spring ...

Thanks!
Thanks for all the great help. I haven't been around this forum too long, but it seems like a very knowledgeable group of catfish fans. I hope to continue to learn more.

Will S. Multipunctatus eat small cichlids?
I just lost two giant petricolas (4in and 6in) after they jumped out of my tank (I had covered the holes with hard plastic, but have since reinforced the coverings). It was awful.... They were great fish and didn't bother my juvenile cichlids at all. I'm wondering if three adult S. Multis would be ...

These are great fish. I had two of them and really enjoyed them until they jumped out of my tank late at night and died. I'm not sure how they did this since I have covered the space between my HOB and hood with hard plastic. That was devistating, so I recommend that you be sure to cover any holes ...

new to synos
29g Tang cichlid community tank. Waiting to set up 90g similar tank. Gravel substrate, lots of hiding places. Ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates <30, Ph 8.3. I have done a good deal of reading about syno petricola, but just got my first two this week (Tanzania Giant Variant), so I have little practical ...
