Re: Are these Cory sterbai or C haraldschultzi ??
Believe me I've been staring at the pics of both species. In the new juveniles the base color looks white with black markings which is what made me wonder if they were mislabeled. I'm looking at your photo above and I see white spots on a dark base color on the head. That is sterbai. Cheers, Eric ...

Re: Can I keep Corydoras pygmaeus and habrosus together
My habrosus and pygmaeus typically hang out in different areas. My habrosus are more "normal" Cories sitting on the bottom as well as on leaves. My pygmaeus are often midwater or on leaves. They get along great, never seen any crossbreeding behavior with mine.

Re: Are these Cory sterbai or C haraldschultzi ??
These are small juvenile fish. I'm hoping they are sterbai. I'm trying to get my group up to 10-12 or more. Thanks for your input.

Are these Cory sterbai or C haraldschultzi ??
These young fish were labeled as C sterbai. I have one definite C sterbai in this tank. These youngsters look a bit longer in the face/snout ??? They were sold to me for $4.45 each at my local Petsmart. Same place I got my other C sterbai. They've been out for weeks. What is your opinion ? Sterbai ...

Re: Corydoras panic: How do I fix this??
Sometimes adding to the group helps. It sounds like you only have a few of each species ? In some cases bringing numbers up ( if you have room ) can help. 3 of this and 4 of that may not let them feel safe ?? In my small tanks I try for 5-6 of each species at least and ideal would be a larger group ...

What catfish to nano tanks?
Otos or dwarf Cories would be the only possibilities AFAIK.
Your tank is about 8 US gallons ?
C hastatus, pygmaeus or habrosus
are the only Cories that might work.
I have habrosus in with my RCS and they do great

I have planted sand tanks. One has Flourite black sand and the other is Black Diamond blasting sand. Both are capped with Tahitian Moon Sand.
Both have Shrimp and my Cories love it.

Apparently the water changes have inspired my C. habrosus , I'm seeing breeding behavior. Lots of full body quivering and pressing up against. Saw an almost T position. No eggs yet that I see, but night is young !!!

It is a great looking set-up & with careful attention to water quality you specify i'm sure you'll be fine. I'm at capacity livestock wise and now New additions 3 C hastatus babies Looks like a change of opinion? They are incredibly tiny. About the size of my Shrimp or less. Extremely shy corys and otos
My tank is a 10g jungle. I have black sand, a dark background and lots of floating plants. My C. habrosus (5) are super active, always checking things out. My Otos (2) are out and about. They used to startle more, now they are pretty calm. I have Celestial Pearl Danios - they can be shy. Mine do ...

Hi - New cory keeper with a sand question
I use sand in all my planted tanks now. My C habrosus love it. I'm using Tahitian Moon Sand ( black) from CaribSea. I just add root tabs for my Crypts and Swords. I also use Malaysian Trumpet Snails to aerate.
My plants grow well and my wee Cories love it.
