Re: C. sterbai and C. hastatus tank
Thanks so much
I'll have even more algae for them to munch on as the summer progresses, so I will keep crossing my fingers

Re: ISO long-term relationship (with C. hastatus)
So far, no hastatus have replied, but I have had some hang-up phone calls, so perhaps they are shy (or have trouble with the phone underwater I'm still looking.

Tiny Plecos?
I have a very small tank (8 gallons) with some otos and shrimp in it, and I wondered if there are any pleco species that stay small enough to be happy in such a little space. It has driftwood and is about 1/2 fully planted. Thanks very much for your comments.

ISO long-term relationship (with C. hastatus)
I: Enjoy quiet, peaceful tanks, shrimp (swimming, not fried), and quiet nights at home, just enjoying the water. I'm educated and have my own tank. :YMDAYDREAM: You: Should be peaceful but enjoy the company of other fish, a good swimmer, in very good health. You should enjoy good food and shouldn't ...

Re: Mixed Oto species shoaling together?
Thanks, Shane.
I guess this means I would be better off with 6 of one kind in my little tank, rather than 3 vittatus 3 zebra.

Mixed Oto species shoaling together?
Greetings, everyone :-) I have a small (10g) tank, and currently have 3 wonderful otos. I'd like to add another 3, but wonder if they would be happy shoaling together if I add 3 zebras to the ones I have now (sold as "common otos") or if they prefer to be with the same species. My trio have seemed ...

Re: Help choosing & identifying dwarf corie
Thanks for the advice. Printing the pictures is a great idea. (I've looked at so many different pictures that I can't remember them yet, although I am getting to know the ones that I have pretty well now ) I'll try that and see if I can find some real pygmies. (I want them to be happy!)

Re: Help choosing & identifying dwarf corie
Anyone have suggestions about how to tell juveniles from true dwarf species or advice about which dwarf to choose?

Help choosing & identifying dwarf corie
Greetings, everyone, First, thanks for being such a great resource! Thanks to this site (and help from some of my catfish-keeping friends) I was able to spend about 2 months preparing and stocking a small (5 gallon) tank in my office with charming little otos and cories. Thanks to your great advices ...

Hello, everyone
I've been lurking for a while--you were very helpful as I started a small tank with cories and otos.
I finally had to register, because I have a question I hope you all can help me with, but first I wanted to say "Hi."
