I don't think so. At least not my case or half my plecs would be dead. Once I moved out some of the plecs with other groups the fighting stopped and ...

Unless you breed the same color morph to eachother, i.e super red X super red, calico x calcico you will get browns. The dominate gene is brown. So if you take a super red and breed it to blue eye albino you will get browns. Crossing a longfin and short fin you will get a mix of both.

I got a group of 6 bn longfins about 6 days ago. I put them in my 20 long with a seeded sponge filter. They have not eaten at all for 6 days.
