Python, Aqueon, Lee water changers in UK
Hi I am disabled and have to get my partner to lug around buckets of water much to his annoyance. I have 4 tanks, 1 of which is 400l so, as you can imagine and probably know yourselves it's not easy. I have seen Python and Aqueon water changers online but most companies won't ship to England and if ...

Re: Are these Corydoras habrosus
I have 4 Habrosus and absolutely adore them. They're really feisty and zoom around the tank with my 10 Agassizii and 6 Albino Bronze. I have had 1 spawning from them but it was infertile.

Cleaning sand
I have just moved over from gravel to sand for my Corydoras tank and they are very happy fishies. However, how do I vacuum the sand without sucking it up? I always syphoned the gravel before but will loose half my sand if I do that now! Once again I apologise for my ignorance

Re: Stocking suggestions for 5' 400litre tank
Thanks mats. Yes, the Tigers are the one piece of poor advice I've had from Maidenhead. I don't think its the fault of the Tigers though so feel I have a responsibility to them to not simply dump them because they're not right for my tank. Rather conflicted about it. Guildford and Windsor are a ...

Re: Stocking suggestions for 5' 400litre tank
Hey mats. I'm in Fareham, 'tween Portsmouth and Southampton. I know your neck of the woods a little as my brother lives there. What can that group of plec live with? Hi Sid. Great suggestions, thanks. Would Tiger Barbs be alright in that group instead of Tetras? I only ask because I have 9 Tigers in ...

Re: Stocking suggestions for 5' 400litre tank
I like rope fish, Loach, Puffers... not sure really As far as Catfish go I really like the look of vampire plecs and bristlenose catfish but because I haven't had a big enough tank I've only really paid attention to the smaller catfish like the Corys and the Bristlenose. (Obviously I couldn't have ...

Stocking suggestions for 5' 400litre tank
I've just bought a second hand 5' 400l tank and it's a beaut! :d I have some ideas for stocking but wondered what suggestions you might have. I already have a 180l tank with Corydoras Aeneus and Corydoras agassizii . I also have a small 60l with Corydoras habrosus . So I'm covered on the Cory front ...

Well...I've been a very naughty girl! I've bought another 6 Agassisii and was given a 7th to make up for my one-eyed friend making a lovely group of 10! I have the room in my tank currently as everybody is still young and am planning on buying a new 200l tank at the end of the week! Hurrah!

Dried Banana Leaves and Indian Almond leaf teabags
When I recently bought a group of, what we've now decided are, Corydoras Habrosus the guy I bought from used dried banana leaves to condition the water. I know you can use Oak leaves and I've seen the article on here about using them. He didn't boil the banana leaves though, just put them in the ...

One-eyed Cory
When at my local MA today to buy another 3 Albino Bronze Corys I stumbled accross some truly beautiful Loxonzonus and Agassizii. After much soul searching I decided to take home a small group of Agassizii. After a few hours of darkness I turned the light on and watched my new fish. The albinos are ...

Re: Peppered Corys
Thanks mats. Will they cope without them? I'm hoping that if I keep them on their own they won't have to compete too much for food so won't be at a disadvantage. I'll have to just monitor them to make sure they are all finding food.
I will post an update in a couple of months.

Re: Peppered Corys

I fed them peas because of the swim bladder problems - to break up any impaction/constipation. They do not form part of their normal diet.

Peppered Corys
Hi all I recently bought a group of 4 'breeding' Peppered Corys. When I arrived at the seller's home I was shocked to find the corys in the filthiest water I've ever seen, living on very sharp stones and only about 2cm length, maximum. They have very little barbles, some have none at all, I imagine ...
