Thanks Sidguppy. I have uploaded some better pics onto my album.

Sorry never kept vittatus, Out of interest though, I have kept 2 pairs (at seperate times) of marmoratus. Mine were very active too - and didn't behave nocturnally. they weren't remotely interested in sitting under bogwood. It took a week for them settle them. At first they would only take feeder ...

Cool Fish. Expensive in the UK + rarely encountered these days. Biggest I've seen had a length of approx 18 inches and cost £295 (GBP). Feisty when younger and very aggressive from subadult on. They have wide heads with a gape 1/4 of their body length, making most other fish fair game. As quoted in ...

Loved up tigrinus?
http://img67.exs.cx/img67/9451/DSC223.jpg Realise this post might invite criticism, but my tigrinus has lived peacefully with discus (!) for more than six months. http://img20.exs.cx/img20/1665/DSC203.jpg He's well fed (see pic) and has grown from 2 to 9". I'm low on trust, hence he's about to move ...

CO2 Diffuser
Would anyone dare use a CO2 diffuser in a tank containing a tigrinus?
There is good aeration with a tank turnover time of approx 8 minutes.
Cheers,
Nick.

Merodontotus tigrinus
Does anyone know how long Merodontotus tigrinus can survive in an aquarium
I gather 12" specimens fair badly and rarely take to eating, but in the days of more juvenile imports, can anyone speak of success [/i]
