Had to seperate them, they really were fighting. But they now seem to be settled into their new tanks alpha male and another male with 2 females and the beta male with 2 females. Hope they get along now. Thanks for all the help

They are in a 30gal Long tank 36 x 13 x 16. I have thought about moving them also. I know there are atleast 3 males. I just dont want to lose either an alpha or beta male. I have read that they breed better in a group, has anyone had good breeding success with just 1 male and 1 female?

Definately start with common bristlenose (ancistrus). They easy to breed and can be done with a pair in a 10gal tank, or even a community tank. Most have been captive breed and can breed in pretty much any water quality. Good luck!!!

Yes they are safe. They are slate style Pennsylvania blue stone broken apart from one large piece. They have settled in and 2 of them have taken residence up in their caves, now just trying to get them conditioned and ready to breed.

When you don't want to use medication, just raise the temperature to 30C and add sea salt (1,5 grammes per liter) to your tank.
Dissolve the salt first in a bucket and then slowly add it to the tank.
You should see the fishes getting better after some days.
