Re: Nice Beautiful large pleco?
Don't know many technical names, but the Sailfin plec is IMO better looking than the 'common' plec. (Pterygoplichthys multiradiatus is probably what I mean.) Apparently there are 2 species of Common plecs. I can't tell the difference ...

Re: building a "big" Potamotrygon/SA Catfishes tank
Any specific catfish you want? When I take over the world, I'll have a tank at least 10 times the size of yours, with arowana, stingrays, Sailfin plecs and huge cichlids (Vieja and all large ones really). [That WILL happen ...]

Re: lost three aspi, no clue why
You could try adding a filter maturation liquid. (I never use these, but a lot of other people do.) If you bought again you would need to re-stock gradually - 5 or 6 of the Boraras - and feed sparingly for the next week or so.

How many corys should I keep?
A lot of people say groups of 10 for all Corydoras species, but some say that it's OK to keep 1 or 2. How many is the ideal number? (The cory I am keeping is C. similis.)

Corys with L numbers
Can I keep a group of 5 Corydoras panda with a pair of Peckoltia compta? I thought it might work, because the L numbers are more interested in things like bloodworm and tablets than algae and small flakes, but I wanted to check before I buy.

Re: Rio Tapajos paludarium
I was thinking of keeping a small group (maybe 5) of Corydoras panda with the L134s too. Would that be OK or would they fight? (Edit: I think not because of different food sources, but just in case ...)

Re: hey all new here
Apparently the long-snouted corys are harder to breed than the short-snouted ones.

Re: Rio Tapajos paludarium
In the Cat-eLog it says a 12 inch square area per L134. That would be enough for 2 in my tank. I'm hoping to get a pair.

Re: My River Tank Project
Is your setup supposed to replicate any particular river or is it just a natural community? (You know what I mean. )

Re: Rio Tapajos paludarium
The tank is a Fluval Roma 90 holding almost 20 UK gallons / 24 US gallons. It's 60 x 35 x 40cm (23.5 x 12 x 16 inches).

Rio Tapajos paludarium
My W/C L134s are arriving from the Rio Tapajos in 4 weeks :-BD and I want to set up a natural aquarium for them. I feel sorry for all W/C fish in Iwagumis and other unnatural aquascapes - I bet they hate it. But hopefully mine will be happy in their new home. The paludarium would have a suitably ...

Hi
:-H :text-imnewhere: so I thought I might as well introduce myself - I don't like being a lurker ... I like Leopard frog plecs, my LFS has excellent customer service and I'm restricted to shops within 10 miles :auto-biker: (beacause I am 11 and my parents are not fishkeepers). My Fluval Roma 90 ...

L134
Hi I've been researching several L numbers and am really attracted to L134 (Leopard frog plec, Peckoltia compta ). I am setting up my Fluval Roma 90 for a pair plus a group of 7 Glass catfish and was wondering if there was anything I should include? I've asked my LFS if they could order some, and ...
