Re: Hypancistrus yes, but which one?
I'm back
The first picture of the topic can be misleading, we don't really see the right form of the back tail, and when we look closly on it, it isn't as much forked as we think.
I let you have a look:
Chears,

Re: Hypancistrus yes, but which one?
They are about 5cm (2 inches). If we dont look the back fin, the coloration looks like this yong l333 ( third and forth picture on the right)

Re: Hypancistrus yes, but which one?
Well, not totaly l333 but absolutly not l129. I don't think they are l066 neighter because of the fat stripes. L066 have tinier stripes, even if they are juvenils.
I also don't think they are L340...Actually they really look more to L333. Other opinions?
Thanks for helping,
Denis

Hello, i receive thoses L-numbers as l129 (Hypancistrus debilittera), but i really think it's wrong, because of the forme of the back fin. Here are some pics (made with an iPhone sorry) IMG_3016.JPG IMG_3007.JPG IMG_3010.JPG They look more like ''youngs'' l333 no? Thanks for helping me. Chears, Denis

Re: [Project] 160liters tank for catfishes
Hey :YMHUG: :d I already have 5 corydoras schwarzii from a friend of mine that stop with aquariums. I don't think to put a group of small fish like Characidae is a good idea, because of the heavy current. But it's true it's a bit empty...and i'll add some if this doesn't derange the breeding of the ...

Re: [Project] 160liters tank for catfishes
Allright, thanks. It's interesting. I think the best is really to do a specific L046 tank, but it will really be empty. If you can suggest me a L-nummer to keep with L046 without risk of crossbreeding (like peckoltia or panaquolus), which would it be? L015? L121? L134? I know someone who keeps L046 ...

Re: [Project] 160liters tank for catfishes
Hello, Many thanks for your answers. It's quite annoying because the L046 i'll have will be quite young, and until they will bread the tank will be a bit empty. Do you mean that hypancistrus may hybridize between two species? I saw that the L260 and L201 have a similar size and behaviour as L046 ...

Hello everybody, I'm new here and I need your advices to do no mistakes. I'm already sorry for the english mistakes i'll do in the future, my natal language is French. So here is the tank: 160l.JPG The tank is 100 x 40 x 40 centimeters. There is an Eheim filter ( 2071 ) with 950 liters per hour ...
