Last month's TFH has an Article on Spawning L. Galaxias. Essentially he stuffed the tank full of them, changed a ton of water daily, and they bred. I'll reread it and post the specifics when I get a chance, but for the most part it was pretty unspectacular.

This seems to be a local color varriant of Panaqolus Albomaculatus ... it seems the ones coming out of Iquitos are "oranger" in coloration than the described "yellowish" colored spots of P. Albomaculatus... Yann is exactly correct Julio has had these in and out of stock for the last couple of years ...

Nice tank... just out of curiosity what do you use for your water source? Tap, River water, Rain water? You've never needed to supplement Iron? I assume your water source must have a decent amount of inorganics then? Must be rough to have to go out to the river and catch your own stock

@ Yann- AFAIK, L numbers were meant as a guide for ID'ing Loricariids and are simply that a guide to help ID the unclassified. To say that a given L# can only be used for a certain location of any given species of pleco seems ludicrous to me. If this was the case then why do we not yell at everyone ...
