Does anyone of you have any experience how the caves should be positioned in relation to the water current? I have positioned my circulation pump close to the bottom on one of the side walls so that relatively strong current passing the openings of the caves.

Yes, quite heavy, something about 50-60 kg. However the weight is distributed throughout the bottom area in order to secure even strain on the bottom glass.

I usually tries to change about 50% of the water every week i all my tanks. Using tapwater as the water around here got guite good parameters. pH about 7 and very soft, KH about 1 GH about 2. No cloride. However i allways use Aquasafe or other additives in order to neutralize possible cloride.

About 5 months now, but they were bought as youngsters. They are 10 cm lenght now. At what age or size can you say that the fish is sexually mature?

My daughters new catfish pants
My daugther`s (1,5 year) new "custom made" catfish pants. Both father and daughter are very satisfied by the result. The catfish profile was drawed by me based on some pictures and the pants made by a friend.

I am not sure with regards to what group to be removed, I will surely not have Zebras and L066 together. But maybe add 2 more of the L066 and move the l202 group. The tank is a regular Juwel Rio 240. I have not the excact weight of the stones, but maybe about 50-60 kg in total. The important thing is to spread the weight evenly over the bottom surface. Glass can handle guite some load as long as the load is transferred evenly over the glass area and you ...

The tank is actually quite dark, did not use flash on my camera so shutter time were very long. Using reflectors the " wrong" way so that the light is reflected up.
I have been looking around for some LED light for my tank but have not found any suitable yet. Any suggestions?

It is a "general" river habitat, or natural community. A part of the project was to only use stones and gravel from a nearby river here in Norway and we have no tropical catfish in our rivers...(-15 deg C outside now..). So it is actually a cold Norwegian river converted to tropical water ...

Prepared some caves and added them to the tank today. Standard pleco caves bought in my local shop. Added lots of silicone all over and rolled them in the same gravel as i have in my tank. If you gonna glue really loadbearing stuff i would not use silicone. But, for this use it is ok. The stones are well fastened with the silicone, and I used force on the thin bacground stones after curing of the silicone to verify if they were fastened good enough. No problem.
