Re: Oto attaching to guppies...?

Open sores on living guppies to me more sounds like bacterial infection than any sort of attack, to be honest. Just to update. I have had another go the same way, since caging up poor oto....Mike_Noren hit the nail on the head with bacterial infection. The last one to go, well I had to put her down ...

Re: Oto attaching to guppies...?

I have had three guppies that have had sores...two of them showed a circular-ish patch where the outer layer seemed to have been removed and a very small crack-like bleeding area. The other simply showed a circular patch that should have been black, but wasn't anymore. These all died. The other two ...

Oto attaching to guppies...?

Hi I have an otocinclus, he is in an 80l tank with guppies and platies. I did used to have 2 sucking loaches in there too. Recently I noticed open wounds on a couple of the guppies. Of course my first thought was the loaches...I removed them to my 240l and have had no problems in there. BUT, I then ...

Dwarf tiger pleco - ?

Hi

I was sold the catfish below as a "dwarf tiger pleco". Please could someone ID him for me?

Sorry the pics are not brilliant, he was still in his baggy and I wanted to get the pics before he disappeared!

Thanks in advance.

Re: Catfish sold simply as "Gibbiceps"

I couldn't leave him there though...he's so handsome and I just had to bring him home knowing that I would probably do better by him than just any P@H customer who would probably dump him in a 20l tank and be done with it! And yes I do agree that some P@H are questionable! The one I got him from had ...

Re: Catfish sold simply as "Gibbiceps"

The joselimaianus looks severely thin- is it eating OK? I've found "common" plecs ( Petrygoplichthys/Hypostomus ) to have one of the poorest survival rates in the first week of any tropical fish- if they make the first week they live for many years, but of all the (not very many- five or six during ...

Re: L046 Zebras wanted

I know outrageous seems a bit vague, but I didn't want to specify too exactly as I wanted to see what was available first. I'd like to be spending no more than £65 pounds for 2 fry, but again if someone made an offer for 6 that was fab then Id likely take that. I know that there is a huge amount of ...

Catfish sold simply as "Gibbiceps"

Hi all. I'm new but I was hoping that you could help me identify my catfish! This is my latest addition and was sold simply as "Gibbiceps", but looking at him, I am not so sure. I had a suggestion of L001 - Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus, but wondered if you would be good enough to confirm this for ...
