Re: L002 diet
Thank you for the reply Mats. I have three different types of wood in the tank and it's pretty full. I read over the articles and also searched the site for other threads, both of which are helpful. I know that they mainly process wood. I was just wondering what others are feeding, specifically ...

L002 diet
Hi all, I just received my wild caught L002 and they are looking really thin (not a surprise). Anyone have a suggestion for supplementing the wood in the tank? I have put in some carrots, shrimp pellets and hikari algae wafers already. Any favorite homemade recipes for panaque? I am off to the ...

Re: Tankmates for L002
I have considered the Leopard Frog's. They are available in the area, so that is a plus. I admit I know little about them, what is your feeding regimen for these mixed tanks? I have, maybe prematurely, crossed the hypans off my list as their diets are so different than the panaque. Is this a flawed ...

Tankmates for L002
Hi all, I am getting in some L002 from Brazil, Rio Tocantins next week. These individuals (8) are supposed to be 6-7cm in length. Would you be able to sex them at this size? I plan on starting these in a tank of approximately 75L, eventually moving them into a 280L tank when they (and the tank) are ...

Re: Which Loricariidae is this?
They can grow up to 30cm or larger. I have one that went from 9cm to 22cm+ in 8 months. Others have even bigger stories. I like his temperament, not really afraid of activity and doesn't back down from aggressive cichlids that he is tanked with.

Re: Confused about species of pleco L204?
As other more experienced people have already stated not L204. I also think L340. I have an easier time getting L204's here, so I'd be happy with that "mistake". Beautiful fish, enjoy!

Re: can anyone confirm L127
I have a pair of L127, they look similar, though mine have more grey coloring. They lose some grey when they are stressed. Mine are full grown adults, about 10-11 cm. A picture of the head and/or mouth would help with identification.

Any personal experience with them Mats?
Any other information about L128 not on the Cat-eLog that would be good for a potential owner to know?

Re: just lazy, no picture, just description
definitely not L030 - this fish had a longer head, and many smaller spots towards the front half. I do think you may have nailed it with the L128 though. Any others look similar to L128? He looks like he would be one of the nicer ones pictured. The spots are definitely blue; it seems like they vary ...

I saw a pl*co the other day and I haven't done a search on the website yet, but will do so soon. I wanted to know if you guys can point me in the right direction It was black with light blue spots. The spots were small and many near the head and became larger and less frequent as I looked towards ...

What is he?
He's pretty striking, the black is very black, he is actually darker now than in the pictures. I took these just after I put him in the tank. The lines are very defined, a nice looking fish, if I do say so myself. Any ideas of what kind he is? Again I apologize for my poor photography skills. Thanks ...

Re: HELP! which one is it?
It very well could be - thanks. When you put quotes around "common" - what does that mean, exactly? That is commonly found in stores? or bred by farms? I haven't been in many specialty shops, but I know it isn't as readily seen as a true "common pleco" - I've seen a lot of brushy-nose, rubberlipped ...

HELP! which one is it?
I know it isn't the greatest shot - I was rearranging some rocks in my 75 gal mbuna tank today and found one of my plecos in a "cave rock" - I yelled for my brother to grab the camara and he snapped two shots before I put him back. I've been wondering what he was for a while. When I bought him/her ...
