Re: L134: Possible Ich/velvet, tail wagging on every pleco?
When I had a bad otbreak of Ich with my plecos. I kept them temp at 89-90, and added salt. I did not lose any, and maybe there was some luck associated with that. Bekateen mentioned about getting the temp up and that was spot on advice.

Don't think it is a snow ball because it has some really oblong markings. Maybe it is a crossed pleco, but a really nice one.

Well I would not want my tank heavily saturated with algae. Is there anyway do block some of the sunlight. I also have never heard of algae suffocating catfish.

Re: Is behavior a reliable indicator to determine if a fish is male or female?
Though I think Behaviors can be an indicator. So can tank mates and conditions in the tank. I have had some very aggressive females and males. But with the females because of how they behaved I initially thought they were males even though the body shape made me think otherwise.

So clearly two different fish. I also appears that Pseudoplatystoma sp_hybrid(5) has much more defined round circle color markings. But does that anything to do with size and age or is it always like that.

It definitely is not applicable to wild caught. Like I said he did not say it was unidentified nor did he say it was wild caught. Maybe I missed something in his wording.
