HELP! Pangasius hypophthalmuses on hunger strike!
I have two large Pangasiuses (about 10 years old) and have recently moved them and their tank to a new location. Of course with their nervous ways, the move was a bit tramatic. They have not eaten in about two weeks now. They usually ingest about 5 or 6 algae wafers a day. I've tried algae wafers ...

old ceramic bowls...
Well, I'm no expert, but most ceramic bowls have some type of glaze on it. Bio media should have porous surface areas for bacteria to get into and colonize. I would think a glaze would prevent that. I think I read somewhere that some ceramics were glazed with toxic glazes for artistic purposes and ...

Hmmm, he did sound young and with no new additions to the tank eliminates the idea that something (illness or protozoan) was recently introduced. Your water parameters are good too. I don't know, itâ??s a mystery to me too. Has any others exhibited symptoms? Iâ??m sorry for your loss. It may be an i ...

How old was this zebra? How long did you have it? When was the last time you added new fish to the tank?

black pvc, hmmmm
Hey Shane, I looked at the black pvc pipe at my local home builder supply store and it looked like it had some kind of sticky film on it. I was worried because I didn't know what chemicals were used to make it and how it differed from the white. I remembered seeing pictures of the white pvc and ...

pvc vs terra cotta (light vs dark) for spawning caves
I would be interested in learning if the color of spawning caves, pvc white vs terra cotta dark, is preferred. Could forum members please state what type of spawning cave being used and success rate? I'm using pvc but ist too early to tell. I'm looking to breed zebras in the future but would be ...

Thanks
Thank you Shane, I'm glad you feel that I'm on the right track. Yes, I take maintenance very seriously not only in my discus tank but in all my tanks. I really enjoy watching my aquariums (discus, rainbows, guppies and zebras) its better than watching television. I've learned a lot from forums such ...

Thank you for your reply
Thank you. I'm keeping a good eye on everyone making sure there are no disputes. I have another tank cycling just in case. As a discus keeper I'm used to watching water parameters. I have discus in my planted 72 gal bow front. I have a total of 7 tanks and can dedicate two to zebras (29 gal and 36 ...

Its a real question
Hello Everyone, My question is real. I see several people viewed the topic but no replys. I've been told everything from two to ten zebra's. I've seen pictures of breeding tanks with several pairs. My main concern is their health. Yes, I would like to breed them some day but until I can clearly sex ...

How many zebras fit in a 29 gal tank?
Ok, so it sounds like a joke. But how many L46â??s can I safely put in my tank. I have 9 (4 adults and 5 young ones). My 29 gal has lots of water movement, o2 ,a canister filter and two bio wheels. I have 4 pvc caves and lots of rock ledges. So far everyone is getting on just fine. See pictures at ...
